The position / About the Job:In this job the Electrical engineer would be responsible for:
- Worked on low voltage Cabinets such as main panel, power control center (PCC), motor control center (MCC) (DOL and star Delta), power factor improvement panel (APFC), power distribution panel (PDB), variable frequency drive panel etc
- Responsible for handling detail engineering activities of MCC, PLC and Remote IO panel.
- Knowledge of Hazardous Area classification, Explosion protection methods, Intrinsic Safety
- Safety knowledge such as SIL 1,2,3, and Performance level ( Pe)
- System Designing, Load Analysis, Short Circuit Calculation kA and selection
of Electrical components, Busbar sizing /calculation , Power loss Calculation, Cable sizing calculation /dimensioning. - Knowledge of LV motor and switchgear selection
- Knowledge of Earthing types, sizing , earthing layout and preparation of schedule
- Preparation and review of Electrical document such as Panel design data, Panel Bill of Material, Eplan wiring /GAD drawing.
- Knowledge on Electrical standards IEC, CE, BS, ANSI, NFPA, ISA, UL.
- Knowledge on enclosure protection standard and codes.
- Review of vendor drawings & documents, technical bid evaluation
- Understanding & assistance in design, site support and development for following areas: -
- Control room layout - PLC Panel GA, wiring, BOM drawing - Cable Tray layout & related BOM generation - PLC-Knowledge such as hardware, type of PLC, I/O cards, HMI
- Preparation of Power /control / Signal cable schedules, PLC IO list.
- Prepare Technical documentation and operation and maintenance manual.
- Participate in Cost estimation, proposal, procurement and sales work as & when required
- Supervision of Installation activities at project sites ,Powering up panels , prechecks before actual plant start-up & commissioning activities
- Attend site meetings with customer, consultants and external suppliers
- Handle & execute simple hard/ software orders independently in consultation with PM, delivering panels as per the contract requirements within the project budget & agreed time.
Who you areKnowledge / Qualification :
- B.E/ BTech. Electrical Engineering /Instrumentation/Electronics
Skills:
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Experience in Panel inspection and Site commissioning of Electrical installation
- 5-12 years’ experience with engineering and commissioning
- Electrical software tool/software such as Eplan, Ecad, Auto CAD
- Good knowledge and experience with project work.
- Cross-cultural awareness.
