Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Electrical Auditor to evaluate and ensure the safety and compliance of electrical systems in manufacturing industries across India. The primary responsibility is to identify potential electrical risks, ensure adherence to safety standards, and recommend corrective measures to mitigate hazards.


Electrical Audits and Inspections:


  • Conduct comprehensive electrical audits in manufacturing facilities to identify risks and non-compliance issues.
  • Inspect electrical installations, wiring, panels, equipment, and machinery for adherence to industry standards.
  • Verify the maintenance and operational status of safety devices such as circuit breakers, ELCBs, and grounding systems.

Compliance and Standards:


  • Ensure compliance with Indian electrical safety standards (e.g., IS standards, IE Rules, and other statutory requirements).
  • Verify the operational effectiveness of electrical safety systems and procedures.
  • Review adherence to company-specific safety policies and international best practices.
  • Prepare detailed reports outlining compliance gaps, risks, and actionable recommendations.

Risk Assessment and Mitigation:


  • Identify potential electrical hazards, such as overloading, improper grounding, or outdated equipment.
  • Provide solutions to mitigate risks and improve the overall safety of electrical systems.

Documentation and Reporting:


  • Document findings, risk levels, and recommended corrective actions in a clear and structured manner.
  • Present audit reports to management, highlighting critical issues and prioritizing remediation steps.

Training and Awareness:


  • Provide training and guidance to onsite teams to improve awareness of electrical safety practices.
  • Support the development and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for electrical safety.

Continuous Improvement:


  • Keep abreast of changes in electrical codes, safety standards, and emerging technologies.
  • Recommend and assist in the implementation of energy-efficient and safety-enhancing technologies.

Qualifications

Education:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Experience:


  • Minimum of 5 years of experience (after Bachelors) in electrical systems auditing, inspection, or safety in industrial or manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with Indian electrical codes and standards, such as IE Rules, IS standards, and CEA regulations.

Skills:


  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess risks and recommend practical solutions.
  • Proficiency in using electrical testing tools and devices.
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills to document findings clearly.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Certifications:


  • Certification in electrical safety or auditing (e.g., CEI, ISO 45001, or equivalent) is an advantage.

Other Requirements:


  • Willingness to travel extensively to manufacturing sites across India.
  • Strong commitment to safety and compliance principles.
