Job Description:  DSB AP Global Capability Center (GCC) Lead


You will manage a growing team of professionals who make up the AP GCC of Rockwell Automation’s DSB.  This team delivers technical implementation and development services to support global deployments of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Internet of Things (IoT), Cloud (AWS, Azure), and other digital technologies in the product development and manufacturing space.

Responsibilities:


People Development


  • Manage a team of diverse people and provide coordination and guidance for your team in the areas of tools, engineering development, test, and mitigation of quality issues.
  • Take leadership for organizational initiatives and work with peer managers across the world to move those areas forward. This could be areas like talent management, continuous integration/ delivery, or process change, among others.
  • Help your team eliminate unnecessary work by leading improvement activities in design capabilities and processes, so your team is the best in development execution.
  • Strengthen and build a diverse team by attracting leading talent at all levels, creating momentum and employer brand in the market.
  • Be accountable for integrating and mentoring new team members into the practice and/ or project teams.  Provide oversight, guidance and directives to the team. Build high morale and position our teams for successful and effective client delivery.
  • Demonstrate the ability to attract, retain and develop consulting and technical talent and the next generation of leaders.  Actively assess the skills required to deliver current and next-generation digital solutions.  Ensure that personal development plans are maintained to meet the demands of our professional services organization

Client Delivery


  • Synthesizing your clients’ most pressing business challenges with DSB’s portfolio of offerings, you will optimize the value of the services being offered and delivered to clients. Leveraging your experience, subject manager expertise and credibility, you will help to bring our service line strategies to realization while managing day-to-day practice operations, project delivery and client development.
  • Oversee and manage consulting delivery of engagements.
  • Maintain your personal utilization target
  • Advise clients on key trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
  • Provide intellectual leadership and active partner participation for DSB’s portfolio of projects.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or computer science, or 12+ years equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Superior analytical, technical and problem-solving skills
  • Prior consulting or technical team management experience.
  • Strict attention to detail and collaboration capabilities.
  • Demonstrated time management and prioritization skills with an eye for continuous improvement.
  • Confident decision maker.
  • Experience working with global team members.
  • Experience in project management, either as a combination of technical lead and project management role or as a dedicated project manager.

You should possess the following technical and consulting skills:


  • Experience with the PTC platform technology stack:
    • development of IoT applications and solutions including building scalable data model, services, orchestration, system integrations
    •   experience with PTC Windchill PLM or PTC FLexPLM,
  • Experience with advanced analytics and machine learning disciplines like model development, training, validation and deployment
  • Experience in working with the following: Java, SQL, XML, Web Service Integrations (acceptable C#, .Net)
  • Competency in data analysis applications built in R, Python, Scala
  • Competency in modern web development techniques like Angular, Node.js, React, Bootstrap, HTML5 and CSS, Javascript
  • Competency in modern integration standards like RESTful and OData, message-oriented-middleware (MQ)
  • Strong UML skills and ability to document structural and behavioral elements of solution architecture
  • Experience leading remote development teams, performance testing, unit test, etc. 
  • Experience in Agile and SDLC software development practices and technical documentation (requirements, functional specifications, test plans, DevOps, test automation etc.)
  • Understanding of business requirements and the process of translating them into well-engineered and integrated technical solutions; attention to detail
  • Client-focused to understand and appropriately respond to our clients’ business needs
  • Demonstrated ability to interface effectively and collaborate with clients, peers and management to help develop solutions and ensure stakeholder buy-in
  • Versatility, flexibility and proactivity when resolving technical issues and dealing with ambiguity
  • Commitment to quality and on-schedule/on-budget delivery; proven ability to establish and meet milestones and deadlines with solutions that meet or exceed client expectations and requirements.
  • Experience with emerging web technologies a plus

Rockwell Automation’s hybrid policy aligns that employees are expected to work at a Rockwell location at least Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays unless they have a business obligation out of the office.
