From generators and batteries to fuel cells, the solutions are as diverse as they are innovative. Your role extends from system-engineering to commissioning on board the ship.
How You'll Make an Impact
• In the role of Engineer for Automation & Drive Systems in Shipbuilding, you will realize solutions in a team with TIA, STARTER, and our digital solutions for all types of ships.
• You support the implementation of new direct current concepts to solve complex customer requirements and create the associated software projects. Included in these are renewable energies such as solar cells, fuel cells, & batteries.
• You deal comprehensively with the automated systems on board (control level, power management and propulsion) to implement interfaces and complete solutions.
• You create detailed Simulations based on our internal solutions to verify the concept and prepare the commissioning
• You commission the engineered systems worldwide as a team. This includes checking and fixing the installation, interface and functional checks together with other suppliers to ensure the functionality of the whole system
• You carry out optimizations, as well as acceptances and handovers to the customer and classification societies on site (factory, harbor, and sea acceptance tests).
• You assist in the creation and updating of documentation.
• Should be able to perform Drive Selection and configuration.
• Coordinate with Factory / System house / Vendor for Drive Cabinet Manufacturing & Staging.
• Travelling to customer sites for longer durations (around 2-3 months) would be part of this role. (Domestic as well as International)

• You are a graduate in Instrumentation, Electrical or Automation Engineering with consistent track record and relevant experience of 6 to 8 years in Drive-
Automation Engineering.
• Hand-on experience with PCS7, WinCC and Step 7, TIA portal.
Capable to design independently, technically sound, and effective Drive solutions for Oil & Gas / Marine
• Knowledge of C++, C#, VB Scripting, Database Management would be added advantage.
• Knowledge of high-level programming languages (Java, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL, ...) and OOP (Object-Oriented Programming) is desirable.
• Good communication skills, fluency in English. (Written and oral)
• Good Team Player & can Lead a project team.
