JOB TITLE: PROJECT AND WELL OPS MANAGER
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Project Manager will be responsible for the management of the operations team charged with engineering, evaluation and execution of drilling, logging, completion and well testing operations.In addition, the post holder will be expected to provide operational guidance and planning assistance to the project team.The Project Manager will be required to form and maintain excellent relations with the client operator.
This role requires close collaboration with subsurface, drilling, fracturing, well testing, and production teams to develop efficient, cost-effective, and safe completion solutions tailored for the extreme challenges of HPHT and ultra-low permeability reservoirs.
The Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the work is carried out with particular emphasis on HSEQ performance, technical improvement and cost-effective delivery.
·Accountable for performing all duties with due regard to the health, safety of self, others and of the environment in which they are undertaken.
·Establish a planning and operational team, including all support requirements.
·Project and well objective setting and delivery.
·Accountable for achieving operations program objectives.
·Responsible for approval of all programs and amendments for the well operations planning and execution.
·Contracting and procurement strategy. Logistics strategy and co-ordination.
·AFE/Budget review, authorization and cost tracking.
·Liaison with Client Operator departments to ensure that objectives of the well operation programs are defined and fully understood.
·Liaison with the Production, Facilities and Geology/Geophysics disciplines.
·Liaison with government and other authorities/external bodies.
·Agree and expedite corrective actions resulting from any incident and accident report.
·Compliance with all legislative requirements.
·Emergency response and oil spill/chemical discharge strategy, organization and training.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
·Minimum 20 years of experience in drilling including at least 5 years with unconventional Frac and HPHT wells.
·Experience of managing entire well engineering team including drilling, completion, testing – for design and operations and having a strong focus on optimizing drilling performance.
