Engineering Checker - Electrical
As a drawing quality engineer, one will provide checking services by systematically reviewing the Drawing & Notice for completeness of information, accuracy, conformance to Engineering Standards, Material & process standards, Engineering specifications and Design guides.
Responsibilities:
Required Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in an accredited Electrical Engineering Curriculum with 4~7 Years’ experience.

Level Basic Understanding:
1. Ensuring that all elements of the drawing are consistent with the design intent and specifications can be challenging, especially in complex assemblies
2. Keeping track of multiple revisions and ensuring that the latest version is being reviewed can be difficult, particularly in collaborative environments
3. Understanding and correctly applying various industry standards, such as IPC/WHMA-A-620 and RoHS, requires a deep knowledge and attention to details.
4.Spotting errors like incorrect rating, signal names, measurement of bulk length on wires, insulation range requires a keen eye and thorough review processes.
Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
Level Basic Understanding:
1. Ability to break down complex drawings into smaller parts to understand and evaluate each component. This helps in identifying potential issues and ensuring accuracy
2. Developing solutions for discrepancies or errors found in drawings. This involves creative thinking and applying engineering principles to resolve issues effectively
3. Meticulously reviewing drawings to ensure all specifications and standards are met. This skill is crucial for maintaining high-quality standards and avoiding costly mistakes
4. Making informed decisions based on thorough analysis and evaluation of the drawings. This includes considering the short-term and long-term impacts of any changes or corrections
Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviours.
Level Working Knowledge:
1. Ability to write clear and concise reports, emails, and documentation is essential. This ensures that all stakeholders understand the findings and recommendations without ambiguity
2. Engaging in active listening helps in understanding the concerns and feedback from engineers, designers, and other team members. This skill is crucial for effective collaboration and problem-solving
3. Able to present findings and suggestions clearly during meetings or reviews is important. This includes the ability to use visual aids and explain complex technical details in an understandable way
4. Building strong working relationships with team members, clients, and supplier partners helps in facilitating smooth communication and collaboration. This includes being approachable and open to feedback
Technical Excellence: Knowledge of a given technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges.
Level Basic Understanding:
1. Identifying discrepancies and ensuring that all elements of the drawing meet the required standards and specifications
2.Familiarity with 3D Software & PDM tools like Creo, CATIA, Teamcenter is essential for reviewing and validating drawings accurately.
3. Understanding and applying standards such as IPC/WHMA-A-620 and RoHS ensures that drawings are consistent and meet industry requirements.
4. Knowledge of the various materials and components used in wire harnesses, such as wires, connectors, terminals, and protective sleeves, and their specific applications
5. The ability to analyze complex drawings, identify potential issues, and suggest improvements, value additions is vital for preventing potential downstream issues
