Job Description

About the position:


The Document Controller is a member of Chevron’s ENGINE Facilities Designs Engineering team providing document control services and solutions for engineering and business control documentation across within the ENGINE Center.


Key responsibilities:


  • Provide document Control support by ensuring overarching document control governance and standards are adhered and followed in accordance to service level agreements


  • Ensure all controlled documents are:


    • Formatted, numbered, revision controlled and managed in accordance with the relevant standards and conventions


    • Received, processed, distributed and tracked in accordance with Document Control procedures, approved distribution matrices and agreed timescales


    • Develop, generate and distribute business reports as required


    • Monitor compliance and quality assurance activities to ensure integrity and completeness of controlled documentation generated by Technical Engineering team within the DMS master repository


  • Work directly with stakeholders to support day to day Document Control requirements and long-term objectives relating to Operations


  • Maintain controlled hardcopy collection (department satellite locations) where required Information Management and Functional Support Responsibilities


Required Qualifications:


  • 5+ Years of document control experience


  • Strong background in Document Management with hands-on experience of document control processes, techniques, and technologies (include Document Management Systems and collaboration tools)


  • Exposure to Oil and Gas industry is highly desirable, specifically of the Information/Document Management requirements and challenges relating to Management System / Business Control documentation collections e.g. standards, procedures, work instructions, processes, forms & templates etc.


Chevron ENGINE supports global operations, supporting business requirements across the world. Accordingly, the work hours for employees will be aligned to support business requirements. The standard work week will be Monday to Friday. Working hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm or 1:30pm to 10:30pm.
