Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Distributed Cloud Advanced Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing advanced technical support and resolving complex issues related to our distributed cloud infrastructure. You will work closely with our engineering team, operations team, and customer support teams to ensure the stability, reliability, and performance of our cloud services, aside from resolving complex escalated cases impacting our customers.
What You’ll Do
Act as the primary escalation point for complex technical issues related to our distributed cloud infrastructure.
Diagnose and resolve high-impact technical problems in a timely manner including systems failures, connectivity problems, and performance bottlenecks by ensuring minimal disruption to customers.
Collaborate Engineers from Support, Operations and Management to identify root causes and implement long-term solutions.
Create and maintain comprehensive knowledge bases for system documentation, including standard operating procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting guides, to support customer facing teams’ ability to use the systems effectively.
Provide mentorship and training to junior engineers and support staff.
Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical issues.
Stay up to date with the latest developments in cloud technologies and best practices.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
What You’ll Bring
A security-first approach to managing resources in cloud platforms, SaaS platforms, containerization, and orchestration.
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as an integral member of an agile team.
Experience with observability tooling including logging infrastructure, continuous monitoring, tracing systems, alert definitions, etc.
Proficient communication, planning, problem solving, trouble shooting, identifying performance bottlenecks and organization skills.
Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and timelines.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
5+ years' in a technical support or escalation role within a cloud computing environment.
Desired:
Strong understanding of distributed systems, cloud architectures, and networking concepts.
Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and K8s.
Demonstrate proficiency in scripting and/or programming languages such as python, java, apex, and SOQL.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect) are a plus.
Skilled understanding and deep experience with HTTP and web application security
