In order to achieve our mission, we integrate and manage a highly complex network of products, services, processes, technologies and suppliers across all Thomson Reuters locations worldwide.


About the Role  


In this opportunity as a Director, Travel & Expense and Procurement Operations, you will:  


  • Build and develop the Procurement Operations team, that can provide seamless support to the category teams and strategic sourcing plans.


  • Implement a best-practice sourcing methodology and sourcing governance schema which provides greater visibility and control of strategic sourcing initiatives.


  • Continuously improve the sourcing methodology and continuously develop the sourcing capability at Thomson Reuters in order to consistently achieve market-leading outcomes.


  • Build and enhance relationships with T&E suppliers in partnership with the supplier and service delivery management teams in order to achieve exceptional levels of service quality whilst maintaining best-in-class commercial terms and conditions.


  • Manage the Corporate Card and Travel Program worldwide including the strategic relationship with the T&E suppliers involved. Drive policy changes and keep the process clearly documented.


  • Act as the final escalation main point of contact for solving expenses and travel issues, emergencies and grant the appropriate support to the team to solve.


  • Drive and steer transformation initiatives for the T&E Program.


  • Drive and foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration and entrepreneurialism within Procurement Operations, which is replicated by suppliers.


  • Develop team members and grow their careers across Global Procurement, Procurement Operations, T&E and the Centre of Excellence.


  • T&E vision and strategy for Thomson Reuters including processes, policies and systems for short-, mid- and long-term execution.


  • Flawless and frictionless customer experience performance for our T&E Program


  • Develop and keep longstanding relationships with our Corporate Card, Airlines and Hotel Chains suppliers,


  • Significant and sustainable annual reduction in Thomson Reuters cost-base through best-in-class eRFx execution, demonstrated using a robust savings methodology which is consistently applied and rigorously approved.


  • Key and insightful support for our Sourcing teams by delivering exceptional operations support on competitive bids events and contract execution and management processes.


About You


You’re a fit for the role if your background includes:


  • Bachelors degree.


  • Fluent English is a must.


  • Significant experience in solutioning and implementing a T&E Program that delivers solutions and services to a global business,


  • Significant experience in solutioning and implementing a Procurement Operations model that delivers sourcing and buying excellent services to a global business,


  • Expert ability to identify, implement and manage digital solutions that support the company’s Source to Pay Systems vision,


  • Ability to ensure the effectiveness of the organization through establishing the organizational structure, digital tools, processes and governance,


  • Expert analytics and ability to develop coherent and high-quality sourcing collateral including internal / external analysis of spend, business case, contract summaries, and RFx materials, SOPs and policies.


  • Sound knowledge of the sourcing marketplace and trends in the industry including the ability to assess the impact of change in the context of the sourcing strategy.


  • Strong experience in coaching and mentoring, helping to develop a Procurement Operations team that has well-rounded knowledge of multiple Source to Pay capabilities and cross-category skills sets,


  • Ability to effectively plan, organize and manage resources; and to lead change across the organization to achieve organization-specific goals,


  • Strong ability to drive high performance in the Procurement Operations organization by enabling effective collaboration with Category teams and bringing efficiencies in managing the spend holistically,


  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast pace operational changing environment.


  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and recognize the critical impact to the business,


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, gravitas and credibility working with senior executives,


  • Excellent (external and internal) relationship management and cross-functional leadership skills
