Summary of Position:
The Director, Transformation Program Management (Internally referred to as Director, Process Management) is responsible for overseeing and managing complex business processes and process improvements across the organization. This role focuses on optimizing outcomes through advanced skills and experience, directly impacting project performance and strategic goals. The Director will lead a team of process managers and collaborate with senior leadership to ensure alignment with business objectives. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of process management experts and oversee complex business processes and process improvements from conception to completion.
- Develop and implement detailed process plans to manage and track progress.
- Ensure that all processes are optimized to achieve business objectives.
- Oversee all aspects of process scheduling, including task assignments, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Interact with cross-functional teams to ensure compatibility and alignment of all process aspects.
- Manage risks and issues associated with processes and take appropriate actions to minimize their impact.
- Provide periodic process reports to stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Review process deliverables to ensure quality standards are met and monitor the execution of each process and implement necessary adjustments.
- Manage changes in process scope, schedule, and costs.
- Identify and leverage opportunities for continuous process improvement.
- Collaborate with technology teams in the implementation of digital tools and software.
- Apply process management methodologies and practices to improve team dynamics and performance.
- Establish and maintain process communication plans to ensure proper dissemination of information among process stakeholders.
- Ensure resource availability and allocation for each process.
- Mentor and develop process team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Drive strategic initiatives and contribute to the development of long-term process management strategies.
Global Process Strategy & Leadership:
- Lead the global process transformation strategy, ensuring alignment with the company’s overall business goals and operational objectives.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of business processes, with a focus on improving efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline and standardize processes across regions, functions, and business units.
- Manage cross-functional initiatives across global teams (e.g., Commercial, R&D, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and regulatory) to ensure process excellence.
Process Innovation & Optimization:
- Champion process innovation and the adoption of new technologies and methodologies (e.g., Lean Six Sigma, digital transformation, AI) to drive operational excellence.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and measure process effectiveness and continuously drive improvements.
- Lead global change management efforts, ensuring successful transformation adoption across diverse business units and regions.
Stakeholder Management & Collaboration:
- Build strong relationships with senior leadership, business unit heads, and key stakeholders to align process transformation initiatives with the broader strategic objectives.
- Lead and influence diverse, cross-functional teams to achieve operational goals and deliver high-impact results.
- Partner with IT, Transformation and digital teams to ensure the alignment of process initiatives with technology systems and platforms.
Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure that process transformations comply with relevant regulatory standards, industry guidelines and corporate policy.
- Assess and mitigate risks related to process changes and implement controls to safeguard against operational disruptions.
Team Development & Leadership:
- Lead a high-performing team of process managers and transformation specialists across multiple regions.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the team, providing mentorship and professional growth opportunities.
- Build and maintain a knowledge-sharing environment to promote best practices and process innovations across the global organization.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field. Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
- At least 12-15 years of experience in process management, transformation, or business operations, with significant leadership experience in the medical device, healthcare or consulting industry is a must.
- Proven track record of driving large-scale process transformation and continuous improvement initiatives across global operations.
- Strong expertise in process optimization methodologies (e.g., Lean Six Sigma, Agile, Process Mapping) and digital transformation strategies.
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams in a highly regulated, fast-paced environment.
