ICF is looking to recruit a leader with experience in providing technical energy advisory services to clients in oil & gas, renewable fuels, power and renewable energy. We are looking for someone who is growth-oriented, passionate about energy and has deep relationships and track record of conducting technical feasibility assessment as owner’s and lenders engineer. As the leader for technical advisory, you will have the support of international teams in ICF to strengthen our existing business in India and the neighbouring countries. 


As the business leader you will need to:


Win business in the field of technical advisory based on your relationships in the market, be a visible expert in the energy sector in India – have existing strong relationships and recall at CXO level in private sector and with senior officials in the Government. Lead the business development function to build a sustainable technical advisory business in India and South Asia region. Lead and mentor a team of mid-level and junior engineers who are passionate about energy to deliver projects for clients. Collaborate with other team leads across ICF to cross sell and build offerings spanning the entire energy value chain in the region.


Skills and Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from reputed institutions is a minimum requirement. Post graduate degree is desirable
  • 20 years of overall technical experience in sectors such as oil and gas, power (generation/transmission), biofuels, renewable energy, energy storage (BESS, pumped hydro).
  • 10+ years of experience in energy sector technical consulting work with large outfits (e.g. experience of preparing DPRs, PFRs, acting as OE, IE, lender’s engineer, design review, tender support etc.).
  • 5+ years business development experience winning work with clients for technical advisory services in energy sector
  • Industry experience in RE / energy companies will be a plus

  • Ability to be flexible to handle multiple priorities
  • Ability to lead and mentor a team of analysts
