Role Overview
As the Director of Engineering and Delivery in Systems Integration, you will be driven by a passion for developing innovative integration software solutions that create a meaningful impact. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the entire integration lifecycle, ensuring that our platforms and solutions meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
What will you do in this role:
Building and shaping strong engineering culture across multiple software and platform engineering teams, designers, architects and other roles and skillsets.
Foster a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing by engaging cross-functional teams and leaders across the organization. Building strong communities of practice to break down silos, align on shared goals, and drive cohesion and implementing larger systems and projects.
Contribute to forming a broader Integration Strategy and API-first Architecture inclusive of transforming it into tangible intermediate steps, implementations and roadmaps.
Providing people and technical leadership to local engineering teams.
Evangelization of API-first and broader Integration principles across not only engineering organizations.
Leading adoption of new modern practices (Agile, DevOps, Automation, ...) into the teams, fostering a strong culture of self-improvement, learning and innovation in everything the teams do and deliver.
What Should you have:
A minimum of 10-15 years of experience in backend, integration and platform engineering systems integration, and IT infrastructure.
Master’s degree in Business Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven hands-on experience in software and integration engineering inclusive of coding, designing complex API and integration solutions, and delivering for high-quality and reliability.
Proven experience with HTTP, REST, OpenAPI, OAuth, API Security and other API and relevant Integration technologies.
Candidate must have professional coding experience in at least one of modern programming languages (Javascript, Java and NodeJS preferred).
Excellent communication skills - capable of effectively interfacing with both technical and non-technical stakeholders at various levels across the entire organization.
Experience with managing financial aspects of project delivery.
Demonstrated experience in building large engineering teams from ground-up, with strong engineering culture.
Showcasing strong management and interpersonal skills.
A passion for innovation and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement in software engineering practices.
Ability to effectively navigate in complex enterprise, establishing partnerships and collaborating with global virtual teams and navigating multiple cross-functional teams.
