Director - Research & Development (R&D) needed for a University in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra
Key Responsibilities:
Research Strategy Development & Execution: Design and implement a comprehensive
research strategy that aligns with the university’s goals and promotes interdisciplinary
research.
Funding Acquisition: Identify and secure research funding from government agencies,
private sectors, and international bodies to support research projects.
Partnership Development: Build and maintain strategic partnerships with industry,
government bodies, academic institutions, and other stakeholders to enhance research
opportunities.
Innovation and Technology Transfer: Oversee the commercialization of research outputs,
including patents, technology transfers, and startup initiatives.
Research Ethics and Compliance: Ensure all research activities adhere to ethical guidelines
and regulatory requirements.
Capacity Building: Develop and implement training programs to enhance the research skills
of faculty and students.
Performance Monitoring: Evaluate the impact of research acƟviƟes and outputs, ensuring
alignment with the university’s objectives.
Interdisciplinary Research: Create platforms and opportunities for inter disciplinary research
and commercialization of products using specific skills from various departments.
Qualifications:
A Ph.D. or equivalent in a relevant field.
A minimum of 10 years of experience in research, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Proven track record in securing research funding and managing large-scale research projects.
Experience in technology transfer, innovation management, and commercialization of
research.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
Salary upto: 30 Lakh Per Annum
