We enable consumers to engage in cross-border shopping and merchants to extend their global reach while reducing the complexity and friction involved in enabling cross-border trade.

Job Description Summary:


What you need to know about the role:
As the Director of Product Management for the Dispute domain at PayPal Inc., you will lead the strategy and execution of our disputes platform, DisputeAPI, and Dispute UI. This role is critical in managing a system capable of handling 35 million disputes annually for PayPal, Venmo, Zettle, BT, and Xoom. You will drive the design and implementation of innovative dispute solutions, contributing to new product launches and enhancements to existing systems.

Your day to day:


  • Strategy Development: Define and communicate a clear product vision and strategy for the Disputes domain, aligning with overall business goals and customer needs.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of product managers, ensuring effective collaboration with engineering teams, stakeholders, and cross-functional partners.
  • Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle, from conception to launch, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products that meet customer requirements.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Actively engage with internal and external stakeholders to gather insights, prioritize features, and represent the needs of users in product discussions.
  • Data-Driven Decisions: Utilize data analytics to inform product decisions, measure success, and iterate on product features based on user feedback and performance metrics.
  • Innovation and Improvement: Identify opportunities for innovation within the disputes process, driving initiatives that enhance automation, revenue generation, and loss savings.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, design, and operations teams to ensure alignment and successful execution of product initiatives.

What you need to bring:


  • Experience: 8+ years in product management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within the financial technology or risk management space.
  • Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of technology and software development processes, with the ability to engage in technical discussions with engineers and architects.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
  • Analytical Skills: Proficient in data querying and analysis, with the ability to leverage insights to drive product strategy and enhancements.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and engage effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Problem-Solving Ability: Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
