ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES Job Purpose/Objective
- To oversee CFS operations by ensuring all objectives are met while keeping costs within budget
- To ensure optimal utilization of terminal’s potential, thereby increasing revenue and profitability
Key responsibilities
- Market terminal’s facilities through direct customer interactions, trade shows, exhibitions. Liaise with external bodies to facilitate terminal’s processes. Issue trade notices, advertisements, organize press meets.
- Draw up Terminal Service Agreements with shipping lines.
- To meet agreed profit, revenue, ROCE and operational targets.
- Realization of Organization KPIs, policies, and procedures.
- Client development through networking.
- Analyzing CFS performance vis a vis competing CFS
- Negotiating and preparing contracts
- Observe the provisions of the relevant Labour regulations
- Build relationship with heads of external agencies to achieve desired results
- Keeping tab on customer requirement and trade demand
- Satisfy customer in general and trade at large.
- To comply with all aspects of terminal’s Health, Safety, Environment and Supply chain security management systems
QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES Skills and Competencies
- Prior experience of at least 15 years in a managerial position preferably in a CFS.
- Commercial bent of mind, Operations exposure.
- Advance knowledge and knowhow of shipping and terminal operations.
- Good interpersonal skills / etiquettes for effective and efficient communication.

Internal: Other Departments Operations, Finance, CFS, People
External: Customs, CHAs, BCOs, Vendors, Contractors
- Educational Qualification (min)
- Graduate in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical & Electronics) or a Class One Marine Engineer. MBA
- Preferred Certifications if any
- Range/ Min no of years - of overall Experience required
- Min no of years of Industry specific experience required, if any & the industry type
