Job Description

About the Company: The client is a global hospitality group with a well-established presence and a diverse portfolio of brands


Role Objective: To drive sustainable revenue growth and market share for the property by developing and executing strategic sales, marketing, and revenue management initiatives, while ensuring alignment with brand standards, enhancing guest satisfaction, and fostering an engaged and high-performing team.


Experience: Minimum 5 years of sales management experience in the hotel industry preferably with reputable brands while manager owner relationships


Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred


Key Responsibilities


Strategic Planning & Execution


  • Develop and implement revenue generation strategies aligned with the brand’s mission, vision, and values to achieve hotel financial targets.
  • Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders including guests, employees, suppliers, hotel owners, corporate teams, and vendors to drive business success.
  • Prepare the annual hotel budget alongside the Executive Team, ensuring alignment with corporate guidelines.
  • Regularly monitor hotel performance and market trends, adjusting strategies proactively to capitalize on growth opportunities.

Revenue & Market Share Growth


  • Drive market share and revenue growth through targeted sales initiatives and effective yield management.
  • Work with reservation services to optimise hotel positioning and maintain accurate pricing structures.
  • Design and implement marketing strategies to enhance local market visibility and leverage brand marketing resources.
  • Maintain competitive intelligence to respond to market dynamics effectively.

Sales & Marketing Effectiveness


  • Ensure alignment of all sales efforts with the hotel’s revenue optimization goals, reviewing business opportunities for profitability.
  • Develop and execute annual sales and marketing plans that support the hotel’s commercial objectives.
  • Manage function space allocation for group and catering bookings to maximize revenue.
  • Lead regular sales and revenue optimization meetings to track departmental productivity and goals.
  • Manage the Sales & Marketing P&L, including budgeting, monitoring expenditures, and taking corrective actions as needed.

Customer Satisfaction & Loyalty


  • Foster customer satisfaction and loyalty by consistently delivering exceptional service standards.
  • Implement initiatives based on guest feedback and market research to enhance the overall guest experience.
  • Champion the service philosophy by providing employees with the training, resources, and environment to exceed guest expectations.

Team Leadership & Employee Engagement


  • Recruit, onboard, and develop a high-performing team aligned with the hotel’s goals.
  • Set clear performance expectations and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
  • Drive employee engagement by creating and executing departmental action plans.
  • Monitor employee satisfaction and retention goals, taking proactive steps to maintain a motivated team.

Compliance & Brand Standards


  • Ensure all marketing materials and initiatives adhere to brand standards and hotel policies.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all brand sales and marketing programs.
  • Keep leadership informed of any significant issues or developments.
  • Promote a professional work environment and maintain high standards of personal presentation.
  • Fulfil additional duties as required by the General Manager to support hotel objectives.

Skillset and requirements:


·  Strong conflict resolution skills (guests, supervisors, employees)


·  Effective collaborator with internal teams and leadership


·  Willingness and ability to travel as needed


·  Solid understanding of hotel operations: business planning, budget forecasting, quality assurance, hospitality law, and long-term strategy


·  General knowledge of contract laws
