Job Description
Grand Mercure Mysore & ibis Styles Mysuru are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Sales to lead our sales efforts in the vibrant city of Mysuru, India. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic sales initiatives to drive revenue growth across both properties.
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to maximize revenue and market share for both Grand Mercure Mysore and ibis Styles Mysuru
- Lead and motivate a high-performing sales team, setting clear goals and providing ongoing coaching and development
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities and optimize pricing strategies
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients, corporate accounts, and travel partners
- Collaborate with marketing, revenue management, and operations teams to ensure alignment of sales efforts with overall business objectives
- Prepare and manage annual sales budgets, forecasts, and performance reports
- Represent the hotels at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote brand awareness and generate leads
- Implement innovative sales techniques and leverage technology to enhance the sales process and improve efficiency
- Ensure compliance with brand standards and company policies while driving a culture of excellence in customer service
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in hotel sales, with a proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
- Demonstrated experience in managing sales for multiple hotel properties, preferably in both premium and mid-scale segments
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse sales team
- Excellent strategic planning and revenue management capabilities
- Advanced negotiation skills and ability to build lasting relationships with key clients and partners
- Proficiency in customer relationship management systems and sales analytics tools
- In-depth knowledge of the hospitality industry, particularly in the Indian market
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English; knowledge of local languages is a plus
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing market conditions
- Willingness to travel as required for business development and client meetings
