Open since May 2019, in the information technology capital of India, Four Seasons Hotel Bengaluru at Embassy ONE provides a preferred address for both business and leisure travellers, and the highly personalized, anticipatory service that Four Seasons guests expect and value around the world. Designed to reflect a sense of its location, the Hotel’s design merges nature and architecture in an homage to Bengaluru’s reputation as the Garden City. Four Seasons Hotel Bengaluru at Embassy ONE is located in one of the city’s most dynamic development that includes Four Seasons Private Residences, premium grade office space, sophisticated retail, dining and entertainment.

About the role



The Four Seasons Hotel Bengaluru is looking for a Director of People & Culture. You will be an integral part of the Hotel Leadership team who will collectively make key strategic and operational decisions for the Hotel and Private Residences. We are looking for individuals who are strategic, have strong business acumen, good communication and interpersonal skills and are able toevidence professionalism and adaptabilityIndividuals also need to be a catalyst for change and an employee champion.



This role is a Planning Committee level, reporting to the General Manager



Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in India. 



What you will do:



  • You will oversee all aspects of the Human ResourcesPeople & Culture division includingEmployee Engagement, Learning & Development,Compensation & Benefits, Employee Relations, Labor Law & Legal Compliance, Talent Management and Talent Acquisition. benefits administration, employee relations, recruitment and retention of staff, communication to staff, career development of staff, Compensation & Benefits, learning and development, and legal matters related to hotel employees. 



  • Monitor the quality of staff performance including review of disciplinary actions, recommendations for suspension or termination as well as establish a regular performance appraisal program for all staff.



  • Assess the development and effectiveness of all levels of employees and the manpower needs of the hotel using succession planning, andassisting management with career planning and counselling.



  • Prepare and review regularly  thebudgets including benefits, labour & salary reports and plan cost effective events within the allotted budget guidelines.




  • Analyse hotel training and development needs at all levels and create or coordinate the creation of programs designed to make employees proficient in their delivery of core and culture standards and prepare them for promotion from within.



What you bring:



  • People-focused Cultural Ambassador. A mindset focused on the employee experience and running a Hotel with the vision of a great place to work for all (at all levels consistently).  



  • The ability to react and adjust to changing business environment and lead the team in ensuring efficient financial management of the business.  



  • Advanced working knowledge of Indian labour law.  



  • College Degree in Human Resources or similar field.  



  • Strong working knowledge HRIS platforms and experience leveraging to enable process improvement.  



  • Prior experience in a mixed-use residential hotel/resort is preferred.
