Job Description

We are seeking a visionary and experienced Director of Engineering to join our team in Mumbai, India. As the Director of Engineering, you will lead and inspire our engineering department, driving innovation and excellence in all our technical endeavors. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of our organization's engineering capabilities and contribute to groundbreaking projects.


  • Develop and implement long-term engineering strategies aligned with organizational goals
  • Lead and mentor a diverse team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive technological advancements and product development
  • Establish and maintain engineering standards, processes, and best practices
  • Manage departmental budgets and resource allocation effectively
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to maintain competitive advantage
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards
  • Cultivate strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders
  • Drive decision-making processes for critical engineering and technical matters
  • Spearhead initiatives to improve green infrastructure and sustainability initiatives at the hotel
  • Represent the engineering department in executive-level meetings and discussions

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Civil) 
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in engineering roles, with at least 5 years in senior leadership positions
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale engineering projects and teams
  • Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills across various engineering disciplines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams
  • Strategic thinking and long-term planning abilities
  • Demonstrated experience in driving technological advancements and innovation
  • Strong business acumen and financial management skills
  • Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools
  • In-depth understanding of industry standards, regulations, and safety guidelines
  • Experience in implementing and maintaining quality control processes
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Analytical mindset with data-driven decision-making skills
  • Adaptability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Passion for innovation and continuous improvement in the engineering field
