It begins with a Card Member using an American Express Card at one of our millions of Merchants around the world – the rest is up to us. The Network Acquirer Solutions team (NAS) is the heart of the American Express Enterprise, powering billions of transactions through the global payments processing network that we develop and manage.


NAS is unique within the Enterprise. We work across almost every American Express business unit as well as external partners, providers, and key industry stakeholders. We are known to be intellectually curious and problem solvers as we tackle the most imperative initiatives facing the payments industry today, such as securing online transactions and enabling faster, more convenient ways to pay.


The Network Delivery team within NAS works to deliver a full scale modernized Network including new digital products such as Debit, QR, Tokenization and Local Network solutions to meet the evolving demands of global payment networks and adapt to local needs while ensuring continued global interoperability. This enables the Enterprise to attract new customers, operate in new markets, react to changing regulatory demands, and process new types of payments. A role in the Network Delivery team will challenge you to broaden your skillset and industry acumen in a collaborative, diverse and inclusive team environment.


We are looking for a talented Product Delivery Leader to join our team. This role will be responsible for leading end to end cross functional delivery of capabilities within our Authorizations workstream, ensuring capabilities are implemented true to their intent and in a manner that optimizes the future flexibility of the Network, and driving regulatory compliance.


The success of the role will depend upon the individual’s ability to lead a globally distributed team, to understand and drive appropriate business architecture, and have a strong focus on detail.


Responsibilities include:


• Manage relationships across multiple business stakeholders as well as technology, finance, and compliance partnerships.


• Deliver consistent and accurate project communications and expectations.


• Build and lead a strong Product Owner / Project Management team.


• Ensure high quality capabilities, features and user stories in collaboration with engineering teams.


• Drive quality delivery through SAFE agile practices.


• Deliver value every Program Increment and achieve long term planning milestones.


• Maintain clarity of the minimum viable product and iterate to drive market value.


• Provide thought leadership on core network products and capabilities i.e e2e transaction processing – authentication, authorization, clearing, pricing and settlement, tokenization, e mandates and fraud prevention solutions.


Qualifications:


• Project management and planning experience with extensive application of SAFE Agile discipline.


• Proven track record of change management and delivery in complex and highly matrixed


organizations.


• Intellectually curious, creative, problem-solver.


• Accomplished global team leader.


• Strong technical acumen


• Outstanding communicator with the ability to translate complicated business needs into technical


requirements that can be delivered by technology teams and influence and drive decisions within


cross-functional teams.


• Payments industry experience, preferably including understanding of Network and payment


technology and processes for debit/credit processing and policy and operations.


• High energy, an optimistic attitude, and a good sense of humor.
