Job Description

Overview The Director of Global Network Engineering is responsible to oversee the plan, design and seamless solution integration to data infrastructure at global scale. Key responsibilities include managing a team of Network Architects with a focus on network reliability, scalability, and security of the network infrastructure along with driving innovation and aligning project initiatives with PepsiCo’s organizational objectives. This role demands extensive experience in network infrastructure management, servant leadership, OEM engagement skills and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams. Key responsibilities include: Leading and Overseeing the Network Architecture Team: Manage a team of network architects and engineers. Provide guidance, mentorship, and technical leadership. Ensure effective collaboration within the team. Set clear goals and expectations for the team. Developing Comprehensive Network Strategies and Roadmaps: Define long-term network goals aligned with business objectives. Create strategic plans for network infrastructure development and expansion. Evaluate emerging technologies and trends to enhance network capabilities. Ensuring the Security and Reliability of the Network Infrastructure: Implement robust security measures to protect against cyber threats. Monitor network performance and address any vulnerabilities promptly. Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to maintain compliance. Artificial Intelligence (AI) Integration: Explore AI applications in network management, automation, and predictive analytics. Investigate AI-driven solutions for network optimization and troubleshooting. Strategic Network Automation: Develop and execute a vision for network automation, emphasizing efficiency, scalability, and reliability. Identify opportunities to automate routine network tasks, configuration management, and troubleshooting processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automation into network operations. Spearheading Continuous Improvement Efforts: Regularly assess network performance, identify bottlenecks, and propose enhancements. Optimize network design, capacity planning, and resource allocation. Drive efficiency improvements and cost-saving initiatives Responsibilities Who are we looking for? With strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to deal with ambiguity while juggling multiple priorities and projects at the same time. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Years of Experience • 20+ years of Network Engineering & operations (e.g., plan, design, implementation, or preparation of BOM/commercial offers) or • Proven experience in network architecture, design, and automation. • Background in software-defined networking (SDN) and network programmability.
