The Role


Director, India Global Safety & Security, contributes to the safety and security of Adobe’s world-wide population and facilities by establishing strategic objectives, participating with other leaders and managers/teams in creating and supporting operational plans and implements various programs to meet the needs of the company. This role is a hands-on, delivery role as well as provides strategic leadership for the area and team. Adobe’s Safety & Security function exceeds the expectations of our employees and customers with their unique brand of support and innovative high touch programs. We are looking for a dynamic & strategic leader with high EQ who values service and experience over enforcement and rigidity to continue to build our team in India and enhance Adobe’s workplace experience


This role is responsible for leading a team that performs investigations, health and safety compliance, security risk management, event security, crisis management and emergency response, loss prevention management, physical/technical/procedural security systems management, India Security Operations Center 24/7, and enabling Adobe’s safety and security policies and regulations in their region. Successful performance will require building strong partnerships with regional Employee Workplace Solutions, Employee Experience (HR), Legal and Business Leaders. The position requires regular travel throughout India and annual travel to the U.S. United States.

You will need to build extensive relationships up and down across many teams and functions – to include external government and industry security counterparts – to enable you to successfully deliver our programs and support. The ideal person is comfortable leading as a subject matter expert and working on the ground to deliver the content. What you’ll do



•Work as a member of the Global Safety & Security Leadership Team to establish overall security and safety strategic objectives for the region that support the company’s and department’s key objectives
•Develop and deliver, via a clear vision and enabling strategies, risk-based, fit-for-purpose programs to support the objectives and builds cross functional support relationships to influence stakeholders and improve compliance across countries and cultures in the region
•Work collaboratively with Regional Safety & Security Directors to ensure the consistent delivery of safety and security services to all elements of the company
•Act as liaison between Global Safety & Security and local Sr. Leadership in all areas of safety and security as well as any other duties as assigned
•Lead a team of highly qualified and experienced security professionals; develops and evaluates them individually and as a team to enable career augmentation, a sustainable spirit of teamwork & strong cross-team trust
•Engage with site leaders, regional executives and BU heads to understand their objectives and develop strategic and tactical plans to mitigate risk exposure and improve employee safety through the business operations while enabling BU success
•Leads the establishment of a Safety & Security budget for the region, plan staffing and program support and monitoring and controlling all spending
•Perform sensitive investigations in partnership with Legal, Employee Experience and other groups as required for policy violations, worker misconduct, criminal activity, workplace threats and other potential risks to Adobe and our personnel
• Lead a regional Crisis Management Program, conduct regional and site level training and act as regional crisis manager in the event of an emergency or disaster and support the company’s business continuity program; leads the application of a comprehensive security travel program
• Develop strong partnerships with Facilities, Real Estate and Workplace Experience teams to deliver and support exceptional programs and services for employees
• Develop a strong local, country-wide and regional network of industry counterparts and government security/law enforcement contacts
• Lead site Security and Health & Safety Assessments for all Adobe properties within India, prepares separate audit reports for each site with recommendations and work with appropriate management to rectify any problems/concerns encountered
• Lead the provision security support at major company events in support of the marketing team or other business units
• Lead the delivery of emergency response training, safety training and other programs though vendors and other personnel in the field
• Own, manage and/or support global Safety and Security programs as assigned


What you need to succeed


• Strong strategic and present leadership with no ego • Ability to effectively inspire, influence and lead across cultures and business priorities • Be comfortable working at all levels of operational delivery, leadership and management
• Leadership and operational application experience in roles where you had responsibility for making life-safety decisions
• Experienced, substantive success leading a team of multiple employees
• Ability to evaluate sophisticated issues, influence leaders and create workable solutions
• Understanding of local codes, regulations and working environment for the region
• Excellent English verbal and written communications
• Ability to work independently and as part of a global team
• Bachelors degree, or equivalent, required and at least 16+ years work related experience (government and/or industry, preferably in technology)
• Previous Law Enforcement or related security service/military government experience, preferred.
