Job Description

The Director, Global HR Services, will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our HR Digital strategy with a focus on simplifying, automating and creating seamless experiences for our colleagues and leaders across Thomson Reuters. Reporting directly to the Head of HR Digital and Global Services, this role will be responsible for leading and managing a team of HR professionals to deliver comprehensive HR services across our global operations. The incumbent will ensure the alignment of HR initiatives by collaborating across our Regional HR and COE teams to lead the strategy and delivery of key HR processes with a digital first mindset.



About The Role


In this opportunity as a Director, Global HR Services, you will:


  • Lead the development and transition of the Global HR Services team, delivering core HR services with a focus on automation and service excellence.



  • Be a role model and coach in developing team members and future leaders to work towards their full potential by setting stretch goals and providing growth opportunities to encourage skill building.



  • Measure and monitor current services by ensuring SLA’s and targets are defined and results are reviewed with a goal to drive continuous improvement in HR processes, governance and employee experience.



  • Collaborate with COE’s, Business & Practice Partners to understand their needs and maintain an effective and achievable roadmap to scale. 



  •  Monitor and ensure legal, system, data, and local compliance is adhered to.



  •  Use metrics to measure the success of programs, data to drive decisions on most needed support and make necessary adjustments. 



  •  Partner with peers on establishing a roadmap for intake of work with a global approach and collaborative mindset. 



  • Research and keep up to date with market trends in HR digital, analytics, employee experience and digital tools.



About You


You are fit for the role of Director, Global HR Services, if you background includes:


  • 15+ years of progressive success leading dynamic teams, preferably in HR Operations/Shared Services with a global organization.



  • Experience in Human Resources as an HR Advisor, HR Business Partner, HR Operations Manager, HR COE Program Manager or equivalent. 



  • HR data, systems and process expertise, including Operations and reasonably other practices like Total Rewards, L&D, Recruiting or HR advisory roles, within a company serving 5K+ employees, fielding and resolving queries from multiple teams. Workday experience preferred



  • Excellent Program & Project Management skills including planning, organizing, and reporting on projects. User Design and Process Automation is desired and considered a strong asset.



  • Proven ability in executing work that requires inform/ input points across multiple stakeholders/ teams, spanning multiple time zones.



  • A forward thinking and passion for customer and digital-first mindset. 



  • People Management experience, and experience growing and retaining a stellar team. 




  • Comfortable and active experience in using data to drive decisions while protecting data and establishing and adhering to proper security access and data controls.



  • Able to handle complex problem solving, thinking out of the box and the ability to work through interwoven dependencies and structures. Able to influence at all levels of the organization without authority



  • Change management and accomplished written and verbal communications experience. 



  • Strong interpersonal skills, a trusted collaborator with peers coupled with exceptional communication abilities – written & verbal.
