This role is responsible for overall Digital Technology leadership and governance and is a part of the Diabetes Digital Technology Leadership team.



The ideal candidate should be well versed with how digital technologies can be utilized as a driver in the industry. In addition to strong technology leadership background, s/he must bring the business acumen and executive presence to work with key global stakeholders in the organization. 



Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:



  • The candidate must have experience in Delivery and Operations and be a SME in running large scale technology delivery organizations. 
  • Given a change-driven & results-oriented culture that is being brought in, the candidate must have the ability to work in a global matrix structure within the context of Minimed’s strategic vision.
  • Sets the technology vision, strategy and roadmap of IT team serving Diabetes operating unit globally.
  • Provides technology leadership for those involved in the development, design, delivery, and operations of systems.
  • Helps to define and develop business value stream blueprint.
  • Manages team members, vendors, matrixed resources to deliver on Diabetes goals and objectives as it relates to application development and enhancement, large scale business system programs, and high performance
  • Develops innovative solutions to business problems keeping global perspective and customer centric approach in mind.
  • Performs analysis, selection, and modification of enterprise systems and application software to meet business needs.
  • Navigates priorities between transformation programs vs day to-day operational needs to ensure smooth business continuity while driving long term value.
  • Drives accountability for projects and program deliverables and ensure they meet the commitments made to stakeholders and customers.
  • Works with India country lead on facilities, transportation, services required for Digital Technology to provide services. 
  • Acts as an Infrastructure technology liaison for local IT services 
  • Oversees Talent strategy and hiring:
  • Diversity metrics, time to hire KPIs, attrition, churn.
  • Maintain relationship with local education system - talent strategy for IT 
  • Supports strong employee engagement and embedding Diabetes WOWs
  • Manages cost center financial planning and budget working with financial business partner(s).


Minimum Requirements:



  • A bachelor’s degree with minimum 15 years of relevant experience and 10 years of managerial experience or an advanced degree with 13+ years of relevant experience and 10 years of managerial experience

Required Knowledge and Experience:



  • Requires advanced management and leadership knowledge to lead cross-department project teams or manage across multiple functions. 
  • Has achieved mastery within a specific technical or broad expertise across multiple related disciplines. 
  • Able to work through complex challenges and impact multiple business functions
  • Be able to identify, initiate, establish, and develops long term strategic relationships and alliances with key organizational stakeholders.
