About the role
This position will be managing multiple Software Engineering teams that works with product owners, architecture, development and operations teams responsible for the continued development of the Mastercard Authentication Network platform. This includes managing all aspects of people resourcing, project deliverables, project schedules, project financials and vendor relationships. This role will include building relationships with cross-functional/technical teams within the organization to drive new development, process improvement and improve customer experiences.

As part of an exciting, fast paced environment developing authentication and security solutions in the Authentication space, this position will provide Leadership within the development life cycle for new products and services.
All about you
Responsibilities
• Lead and manage Software Development scrum teams
• Manages and directs multiple teams of about 10 to 12 software developers, systems analysts and quality engineers
• Evaluates employee performance, sets expectations and goals for department and individual staff members, recruits, disciplines and trains staff
• Exercises independent judgment and discretion in overall project management by prioritizing, planning and tracking project progress
• Designs, develops and modifies program plans working closely with the business owners
• Research software development options and provides analysis for product development direction
• Consults with internal departments to identify customer needs and include into project objectives. Provides support regarding software development to internal departments.
• Creates related documentation
• Knowledge of the payment card industry
• Experience of the authentication and related technologies
• Interfacing and communicating with customers
• Must have good organizational and analytical skills and be able to interact with all levels of management
• Understanding of cloud eco system and have done hands on implementations on creating Internet facing applications for internal or external cloud
• Practical experience with reducing latency and response times for Internet facing applications (e.g., DNS, global routing, CDN)
• Experience with in-memory data structure store technologies

Experience/Education
• Software delivery experience required, card payments industry experience highly desirable
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of training and experience
• Experience managing multiple teams with on/offshore resourcing models
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal are a must
• Organizational planning and multi-tasking skills
• Listening, oral, written and presentation skills and effective interpersonal skills
• Ability to drive results while being resourceful and tactful within a corporate environment
• Extensive experience evaluating complex strategic initiatives, facilitating, influencing and contributing to design and advancement
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to build credibility; team oriented, collaborative, and flexible.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to identify key issues, structure analysis and synthesize data, and provide recommendations effectively
• Strong business acumen and ability to develop strategic points of view and facilitate discussion
Non-mandatory but nice to have skills
• Java/J2EE based Applications and Web Services development experience
• Knowledge of cloud-based architecture. AWS, Azure, etc.
• Sound technical knowledge of Software development lifecycle including Databases, and infrastructure components
• Security Coding Techniques and practices
• Release Management and code branching strategies
• Experience with best practices for Software Development
