We represent diverse experiences and backgrounds which strengthens our team and mirrors the healthcare communities we engage.Main Responsibilities:In the SE Asia & India MCO, the Diabetes Medical Advisor, India will participate to and execute the Medical and scientific (non-promotional) strategy for India in the therapeutic area of Diabetes, in close partnership with the other functional franchise leads and in alignment with the overall franchise strategy.Strategy: Utilise strong business acumen, acting as a key strategic business partner to the organisation.Lead creation and implementation of medical planDrive collaborative relationships with above-country colleagues to ensure the MCO / country involvement and strategic input into global and regional plans.Initiate and drive projects to raise standards of care and change clinical practice.Champion the patient voice when developing and implementing medical strategies.Create industry leading digital, educational and scientific content that is timely, relevant, interactive and innovative.Deep therapy area expertise and product knowledge including competitor data, and drive adjustment to strategic brand plans as required to available new information.Ability to rapidly assimilate new data and integrate into new therapy area.Attend appropriate local and international symposia, disseminating key learnings to the brand teams upon return.Drive agile adoption of global medical initiatives including medical transformation.Provide cross-TA support to medical education and ensure sharing and implementation of best practicesPerform effective additional Risk Minimisation Measures (RMM) implementation at country level in collaboration with PV team and/or other cross-functional team, if anyGood understanding of the impact and evolution of healthcare systems.Ability to work independently with a solutions-oriented and balanced approach to ambiguity.External Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and implement stakeholder engagement strategy for Diabetes products; and pipeline molecules to gain strategic insights in preparation for future launchesDevelop and lead collaborations/ partnership with key professional societies and key experts.Cultivate and maintain relationships with external experts.Provide guidance on Diabetes and other EP products and related Medical issues and seek impactful insightsProvide scientific education on disease states, epidemiology, and clinical trials of Diabetes and other EP products when relevantLead external advisory boards focused on Diabetes products and pipelineProvides high-quality, accurate, balanced and directed information to key customers and stakeholders in response to unsolicited requests for information, supports investigators in ISS submissions, management of Managed Access Program (MAP).People Leadership: Drive strong collaborative relationships with commercial and cross-functional teams, including marketing, value & access, health economics, regulatory and clinical.Demonstrate strong leadership influencing across networks and by coaching and mentoring members of the team.Data Generation: Lead and drive rapid integrated evidence planning and execution through deep understanding of internal and external stakeholder evidence needs and robust data gaps analysis.Work with relevant functions to coordinate the local and global approval process of new study proposals.Medical Operations: Review and /or approve promotional and non-promotional materials in accordance with internal procedures.Provide medical guidance and scientific education to internal stakeholders.Ensure medical activities are executed according to franchise budget and cost-effective approaches are used to achieve strategic objectives.Ensure medical compliance in alignment with global policies and ensure medical activities are implemented with respect of the highest ethical standards. 3. About youEducation/Experience/Certification:Doctorate level education: MD or equivalent medical degree preferred, PhD or PharmDAt least 1-3 years of industry experience (including medical affairs field or office) and/or clinical experience mandatory, preferably with relevant Diabetes / Insulin products / Established Products experience.Demonstrated success in project management & experience with mentoring and coaching junior team members.Ability to act independently with a solutions-oriented and balanced approach to the grey areas.Excellent communication skills including driving challenging discussions. Develop a good understanding of HCP communication preferences to adapt communication style and optimise use of relevant channels to suit.Implement true scientific engagement journeys by bridging channel disconnect to drive ongoing engagement and grow collaborative opportunities and meaningful scientific exchange.Be confident in the use of Omnichannel tools and ability to adapt to new channels.Effectively and compliantly share unmet needs of HCPs and their centres with cross-functional teams to inform patient centric strategyPursue progress, discover extraordinaryBetter is out there.
