Role Definition

Experienced hybrid-cloud engineer with expertise in the strategy, design, development, and implementation of our global ops platform for large-scale products and projects in the cloud (AWS/Azure, GitHub/Jenkins, JFrog) and our on-prem data center.
 

Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing hybrid cloud-based infrastructure, applications and webhooks using DevOps methodologies
• Developing and maintaining automation scripts and tools for deployment, configuration, and monitoring of cloud resources
• Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for streamlining our software development process
• Working closely with development teams to understand their requirements and provide guidance on best practices for automated building, shift-left testing and easy application deployments and releasing to our hybrid-cloud.
• Design, build, and deploy applications and web-services on our hybrid-cloud, integration with  new and existing cloud platforms, including large-scale data processing and advanced analytics
• Implementing and maintaining security measures to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our cloud resources and software products
• Collaborating with other disciplines and teams, such as network+system engineering, cyber security and documentation, to ensure seamless integration of cloud resources with existing infrastructure
• Staying up to date with emerging technologies and best practices in cloud computing and DevOps methodologies

Degree Requirement

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in computer science, information technology
Azure Associate certification is preferred.
3+ years experience in building and maintaining a hybrid-cloud devops platform with CICD pipelines (GitHub actions/Jenkins), docker/kubernetes and JFrog Enterprise.

Skill Descriptors

To excel in this role, you have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills. You have a deep understanding of cloud-based technologies and DevOps principles.
You are familiar with configuring and maintaining cloud tooling like GitHub, JFrog, JIRA, Mend, Okta, Vault. Confident using bash, python, linux, PostgreSQL, PostGres, Grafana, Vue, Typescript, Android, C++, Go, Linters.

Participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle for AWS/Azure solutions, including planning, requirements, development, testing, and quality assurance

Troubleshoot incidents, identify root causes, fix and document problems, and implement preventive measures

Educate teams on the implementation of new cloud-based initiatives, providing associated training when necessary

Demonstrate exceptional problem-solving skills, with an ability to see and solve issues before they affect business productivity

Requirements Analysis: Knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyze and record required functional- and non-functional developer workflow and tooling requirements to ensure the success of the next-gen DX hybrid-cloud platform for our developer community.

System Testing: Knowledge of system and software testing; ability to design, plan and execute testing strategies and tactics to ensure the quality of our workflows, services and tooling

Technical Troubleshooting: Knowledge of technical troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques; ability to anticipate, recognize, and resolve technical issues
 

 Level Working Knowledge:

•           Discovers, analyzes, and resolves devops infrastructure and tooling problems.

•           Handles calls related to build and test problems, deployment issues and infra outages.

•           Pro-actively solves potential issues and drive continuous improvements
