DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities:

You will solve interesting technical challenges by setting up monitoring, designing deploying and troubleshooting key services, platforms, and infrastructure performance issue, always thinking about reliability, scalability, resilience, security, and performance.

· You should be able to understand and communicate every characteristic of their service stack, such as:

o degradation and behavior under load of the services and their dependencies

o end-to-end tuning needs, optimizing resource utilization, as load patterns fluctuate

o Instrumentation and metrics that clearly describe the service behaviors

o scaling requirements and patterns

o resiliency and recoverability, ensuring that backup / restore and disaster recovery capabilities are implemented, tested and maintained.

· Implement monitoring for Infrastructure and Applications using Icinga, Promethues, Grafana, AppDynamics, ELK etc

· Create monitoring plugin using Bash, Python, PowerShell

· Develops SHELL, PYTHON and PS scripts to accomplish day to day system administration tasks and to support business application monitoring requirements

Your skills and experience

As an Observability Engineer, you will need to create monitoring stack that is able detect issues with Infrastructure and application. Create metrics graphs and provide Incident and Event reports to management.

· Minimum 5 years as an Monitoring/Observability or automation engineer, should have hands on experience setting up monitoring tools like Icinga, Nagios, Zabbix

· Should have good knowledge of TCP, ICMP, JMX protocols.

· Knowledge of configuration management tool like Ansible is desired

· Should have worked on setting up & troubleshooting application and infra issues

· Good knowledge of Database like Oracle, SQL, Postgres, MongoDB required.

· Strong Engineering and Programming experience leveraging any (1) Scripting languages, such as Py-thon, Powershell, Bash, etc.

· Defining and documenting technical architecture of complex and highly scalable products.

Nice to have Skills:

· Knowledge of AppDynamics, New Relics, Datadog.

· Knowledge of Elastic Stack.
