With your strong background in battery storage systems you are leading an agile team developing the next generation of battery storage enclosures.Your work will focus on the development of a BESS enclosure regarding the complete PLM cycle especially mechanical, electrical components and it’s needed controls & software. You are responsible for the technical design, taking into account to regard a global manufacturing and a high quality. You accompany all phases of hardware development, from the concept to prototyping, hardware tests and troubleshooting to the fully functional system. Working together on development projects with team members from other areas such as software design, electrical wiring, construction, simulation, type testing, system testing and more is also part of your area of responsibility. For a competitive system design you also work together with procurement, cost value engineering, logistic partners, and test laboratories to support best price and supply chains. You are globally committed to the best technical solution and as part of an agile team you live an open feedback culture and strive for constant improvement. Your profile for " Energize the future". You have successfully completed a university degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or mechatronics or a comparable subject.You have several years of experience in developing systems, in best case battery storage systems. You bring multiple years of experience with you about the standards and legal aspects specifically related to North American market for BESS systems and battery storage enclosure design. You have a good understanding of all system parts needed for a functional battery system, regarding the knowledge of material properties from single parts up to the complete system overview. You are able to review and work with wiring diagrams, flow & process charts, P&ID diagrams, 3D CAD models & assemblies and FEM simulations. You have basic understanding about air and water cooling of electrical components. You have basic understanding about software and control architecture and network components. You have also already acquired knowledge of electronic components to understand the electrical system of battery storage systems (Power flow, converters and transformer). You also have knowledge of the relevant standards and specifications (IEC, UL, Safety-IEC etc.) and convince with your initiative, your communication skills and your ability to work in a team. In order to find your way around in your international environment, you have good knowledge of English and have experience in intercultural cooperation.
