About the job


This position is needed to partner with enterprise developers to create innovative Twilio-powered solutions to address their business challenges. The Developer Ecosystem team focuses on facilitating customer engagements and providing educational content to help customers identify and resolve key business issues, empowering development teams to successfully build with Twilio. The role requires a deep understanding of the developer community and technical knowledge, as well as the ability to take complex ideas and make them accessible in order to inspire creativity through code.


The role involves collaborating with a global team to plan and host developer engagements, in partnership  with sales and product leaders, as well as  marketing teams. The ideal candidate thrives in dynamic environments, aiming to boost customer satisfaction through high-quality, innovative projects. They will act as a liaison between stakeholders and engineering teams at Twilio’s top enterprise customers, facilitating events that empower developers to create technical solutions on channels like SMS, Voice, WhatsApp, and Email.


Responsibilities


In this role, you’ll:


  • Plan and host in-person and virtual events for developers at top companies using Twilio, managing staffing, event planning, agenda creation, and team registrations.
  • Present on Twilio products and customer engagement while assisting teams in building prototypes for demos that solve real business problems.
  • Navigate cross-functional collaboration and negotiate within Twilio to align with program and engagement objectives.
  • Work directly with key stakeholders at major customers, coordinating calls, working on-site, and acting as liaison for technical projects.
  • Drive projects independently from inception to completion, outlining key milestones and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Communicate project plans, progress, and outcomes effectively to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Write clear and empathetic content, including blog posts and technical tutorials, addressing complex challenges faced by developers.
  • Ensure an exceptional developer experience with Twilio, measured by customer feedback.
  • Support innovation and customer experience through meetings and workshops focused on identifying and defining business problems.
  • Develop engaging events and content focused on helping developers use the Twilio platform to solve technical use cases.

  • Proficient in writing Python, PHP, Node, C# (.NET), or Java with insights into web frameworks within or across these languages.
  • Over 5 years of experience writing production code, with strong empathy for developers to successfully guide their building process.
  • Experienced in cross-functional collaboration with teams like sales, support, and marketing.
  • Creative and collaborative problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making for system and process improvements.
  • Skilled in storytelling to highlight developers building on Twilio and inspire others.
  • Experience in public speaking, writing, or organizing engaging programs.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.

Desired:


  • Ability to influence and build effective working relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent skills in influencing, problem-solving, consensus-building, and strong interpersonal communication.
  • Experience in organizing and running developer events.
  • Proven experience with design thinking and human-centered design methodologies and frameworks.

 


Location


This role will be remote, and based in India.


 


Travel 


We prioritize connection and opportunities to build relationships with our customers and each other. For this role, approximately 20% travel is anticipated to help you connect in-person in a meaningful way.
