Job Description

Roles and responsibilities


  • Create precise structural Revit models and CAD drawings for technically challenging projects.
  • Develop plans, sections, elevations and details from Revit 3D model.
  • Take ownership of modeling, drawings and documentation.
  • Understand and implement industry wide BIM standards.
  • Develop details and drawings from conceptual ideas and engineer’s sketches.
  • Review model and drawings to ensure compliance with design.
  • Highlight potential problems in time and look for a solution.
  • Interact with engineers and clients to coordinate BIM models and drawings.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of models and drawings prepared.
  • Support the development of project documentation and drawing production.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide technical support as needed.
  • Update and maintain project notes and documentation.
  • Ensure QA/QC documents are maintained properly.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience:


  • Diploma (or equivalent education) in an appropriate engineering discipline from an accredited college, institute or university.
  • 2 to 6 years’ proven experience in Revit modeling.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with people of all levels.
  • Proficient in written and verbal communication in English language and good command of technical English terminology.
  • Experience in preparing 3D models of Bridges in Revit.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and Navisworks.
  • Must be experienced in ProjectWise, BIM 360/ACC.
  • Basic understanding of construction and engineering principles.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Must be willing to support the team in which they work.
  • Must be proactive and should maintain professionalism.
  • Accuracy – attention to detail and correctness of drawings.
  • Committed to delivering excellent levels of service.
  • Knowledge Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Ability and flexibility to learn and develop technical/software skills.
  • A flexible, positive approach and the ability to work as part of a team in a busy, creative atmosphere.
