Job Description:


We are looking for a skilled and experienced MS SQL Database Administrator to join our team in Pune. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing and maintaining SQL Server databases, with a proven track record of ensuring database performance, availability, and security.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Database Administration:


    • Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server instances.


    • Perform database backups, restores, and recovery procedures.


    • Monitor and optimize database performance, including query tuning and index management.


    • Implement and maintain database security policies to protect sensitive data.


    • Manage database storage, capacity planning, and performance tuning.


  • Database Maintenance:


    • Perform regular database maintenance tasks such as updates, patches, and upgrades.


    • Ensure high availability and disaster recovery solutions are in place.


    • Conduct database audits and ensure compliance with industry standards.


  • Support and Troubleshooting:


    • Provide technical support for database-related issues.


    • Troubleshoot and resolve database performance and connectivity issues.


    • Collaborate with development teams to optimize database performance and support application development.




Must have professional/technical qualification

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.


  • 6-8 years of experience in SQL Server database administration.


  • Strong knowledge of SQL Server, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.


  • Proficiency in T-SQL and experience with performance tuning and query optimization.


  • Experience with backup and recovery procedures, high availability, and disaster recovery solutions.


  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.


  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.


  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


Preferred Certifications:


  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate


  • Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate


  • ITIL Foundation Certification
