Key Responsibilities:
Service Management:
- Oversee and manage equipment service operations, including field and underground maintenance.
- Analyze breakdown trends and proactively plan service and troubleshooting activities.
- Lead and conduct major equipment overhauls, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
- Track and monitor service activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
Technical Expertise:
- Serve as the subject matter expert in hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the team during complex troubleshooting and repair activities.
Customer Handling:
- Manage customer relationships, ensuring clear communication and resolution of issues.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored service solutions.
Strategic Planning & Execution:
- Develop and implement strategic plans to improve equipment availability, MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures), and MTTR (Mean Time to Repair).
- Maintain minimum inventory levels to ensure parts availability while optimizing costs.
- Formulate and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Standard Maintenance Practices (SMPs) in line with safety standards.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of technicians and engineers, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Ensure the team meets equipment availability targets and adheres to safety protocols at all times.
Safety & Compliance:
- Uphold safety as the foremost priority in all service operations.
- Understand and enforce safety SOPs, and contribute to the creation and revision of safety guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal safety standards.
