Key missions of the position:


  • Manufacturing Process owner for Brakes & Coupler product lines (including Special Processes) within FT Hosur.
  • Build, manage and improve on continuous improvement basis the industrial and industrial oriented & connected activities of B & C product lines, meeting the needs of the customer, reach and optimize the goals in terms of Quality, Cost & Deliveries.

Responsibilities


  • Design, prove, implement and maintain Manufacturing processes to deliver product on time, to quality requirements and to cost
  • Drive continuous improvement activities in quality, cycle time, process improvement, machine availability through lean techniques and value engineering to enhance the capability of existing processes and remove wastes
  • Develop and maintain project plans and budget profiles (CAPEX & REVEX) to ensure delivery of milestones to agreed cost targets and timescales
  • Identify and justify capital equipment investment
  • Monitor M3 (ERP) sanity and drive reduction of negative inventory due to MBoM error
  • Special Process Coordinator for Brakes & Coupler processes
  • Coordinate for customer & statutory audits withn Process Engineering
  • Capacity and capability analysis and inputs to Strap and SIOP
  • Participate in plant-level QRQC
  • Provide resource hours allocation for customer and industrial projects
  • Analyse process downtime, identify trends and develop solutions
  • Motivate and coach the team to operational success
  • Drive the team to create the standard for MOST, SMH Optimization, Capacity enhancement, Ergonomics & Layout planning
  • Drive & support the team for taking necessary actions on OpsVision (Kaizen, Downtime, Non-downtime & BBS points)
  • Drive validation plans to ensure robust and comprehensive technical solutions
  • What education and education level are necessary for the position?
  • Bachelor or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Exposure/certification in Business Management /Administration or similar will be preferred
  • Exposure/certification in Special Processes/MOST or similar will be preferred.
  • How many years of professional experience in a specific professional area are required for the position?

16 + years in Process Engineering /Manufacturing Engineering/Industrialization
