Overview We are seeking an experienced Technical Manager for SAP HANA Database Services to lead our database team. This role involves overseeing Managed Service Providers (MSPs) delivering SAP HANA database consulting and support services on our behalf. The successful candidate will ensure the highest quality of service delivery, manage escalations, and provide strategic direction for SAP HANA database management. Responsibilities Lead and manage the database team responsible for SAP HANA database consulting and escalations. Oversee the performance and delivery of MSPs providing SAP HANA database services. Ensure SLAs and KPIs are met by MSPs, and conduct regular performance reviews. Handle high-level escalations related to SAP HANA database issues and provide expert resolution. Develop and enforce best practices for SAP HANA database administration, ensuring high availability and performance. Collaborate with stakeholders to align SAP HANA database strategies with business objectives. Provide strategic direction and technical leadership for SAP HANA database projects and initiatives. Conduct root cause analysis of major database issues and oversee the implementation of corrective actions. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for SAP HANA database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting. Mentor and develop the skills of junior team members and support staff. Managing Stake holders in Senior Management Qualifications Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum of 8 years of experience in SAP HANA database administration, with at least 5 years in a technical management role. Extensive knowledge of SAP HANA architecture, installation, configuration, and performance tuning. Proven experience in managing MSPs and ensuring high-quality service delivery. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex database issues and escalations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels. SAP HANA certification is highly desirable. Experience in project management and strategic planning. Preferred Skills: Experience with SAP BW on HANA and S/4HANA. Familiarity with other database technologies such as Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL.
