External reporting finance team is involved in producing the financial statements based on the statutory rules and as per the local GAAP/ IFRS requirements on a quarterly basis. The team is also involved in preparation of the various reports and forms as prescribed by the Insurance regulatory authorities of various countries where AXA XL writes its insurance business from on a quarterly and annual basis. The team produces various reports for the regulator to show we maintain sufficient level of solvency and liquidity as prescribed by the regulator. The team prepares various reports as prescribed by corporate close calendar. The team performs data clean ups and prepares various source system & other reconciliations to support various stakeholders and auditors.

What will your essential responsibilities include?
·Coordination with Controllership team for quarter & year-end close activities like reporting LOB wise P&L, Variance analysis & commentaries, Slide decks, manage and work on ad-hoc requests.
·Owning the quality & timeliness of service delivery to the UK & Lloyds controllership team.
·Reviewing and supporting for quarterly and yearly regulatory reporting (PRA & Lloyds) for UK legal entities (UK GAAP/IFRS ledger-based reporting).
·Mentoring and providing guidance to team members and establishing excellent working relationships with stakeholders.
·Responsible for supporting Statutory and Internal audit requirements and related queries.
·Highly focused on automation/ simplification of the processes/ data requirement wherever possible.
·Reviewing Source system to GL reconciliation, intercompany reconciliations & relevant IC cleanup & settlement journals.
·Participate in projects as required to ensure that financial data is handled in full accordance with statutory requirements.
·Accountable for motivating, coaching, developing, and providing your expertise for process improvements

We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:
Required Skills and Abilities:
·CA/CPA with relevant years of post-qualification experience in an organization of repute.
·Excellent Accounting knowledge (UKGAAP & IFRS), having grasp of overall Financial Statements (P&L and BS).
·Candidates with experience in PRA & Lloyds reporting preferable.
·Team management experience is required.
·Proficient in IT skills (MS Excel, MS PowerPoint).
·Knowledge of Power BI, Power Query, VBA, Macros etc. will be added advantage.
·Knowledge of systems like the frame, Destiny, Oracle EFR, Oracle EBS, HFM is preferred.

·Excellent analytical skills and the ability to work self-directedly and bring tasks to closure.
