Introduction to role


Join AstraZeneca's Global Supply Chain and Strategy (GSC&S) team, where we lead the charge in optimizing commercial end-to-end supply chains. Our focus is on establishing strategies and measures that improve performance across all commercial supply chains. The Third Party Supply (3PS) team, a crucial part of GSC&S, manages the supply of divested products to external partners globally, covering a third of all AZ product lines. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain broad experience across supply, the AZ commercial business unit, and over 30 diverse external partners.


Accountabilities


As a 3PS Business Intelligence Analyst, you will provide data-driven guidance to Customer Account Managers and Operations Alliance Directors in 3PS, ensuring optimal supply chain decisions are made efficiently. Your responsibilities will include:


· Providing analytical support to Post and Pre deal to 3PS and Deal team


· Developing and maintaining reports using Power BI and Smartsheet


· Utilizing data analysis tools (e.g., SQL) and BI software (e.g., Power BI) for data storytelling


· Providing regular stock and forecast reports to partners, supporting Deal Finance team, Customer Account Manager & partner by answering data-related queries


· Supporting the Budget Cycle by preparing data, gathering assumptions, and creating visualizations for stakeholders


· Implementing continuous improvement ideas


· Providing facts and analysis to support decision-making within AZ and with external partners


· Validating inputs and outputs from key Supply Chain processes like the Business Plan


· Supporting 3PS leadership team and Finance with ad-hoc analysis for faster decision making


· Sharing SME knowledge related to global supply chain processes


· Identifying opportunities for analytical tools and capabilities development with the Analytics team


· Engaging with stakeholders to develop insights for specified brands, projects, and initiatives


· Troubleshooting system anomalies within the global supply chain framework


Essential Skills/Experience


· Require a degree level of education (or equivalent) with 8 – 10 years of work experience & can demonstrate an understanding of E2E Supply Chain Management specifically delivery to external partners.


· Rational and analytical thinking through logical problem solving and decision-making.


· Proficient in aggregating and analyzing multi-source data, converting complex datasets into actionable insights.


· Strong knowledge on Data Integration, Data Warehousing, Modelling.


· Effective data visualization capabilities including the use of tools such as PowerBI, Business Objects.


· Strong experience using SQL.


· Research & analysis of latest technology, creation of Proof of Concept for the feasibility of technologies and adoption of the best option.


Desirable Skills/Experience


· Experience in working cross boundaries and building relationships in a multi-cultural organisation.


· Experience is preferred in some of the following:


· Lean & agile E2E Supply Chain Design


· Supply Chain Modelling


· Process mapping & re-engineering


· Supply Chain Management & planning


· Demand forecasting


· Experience in sophisticated analysis to support business decisions.


· Self-motivated and confident to challenge the status quo.


· Able to grasp and understand concepts at a strategic level and translate them into practical solutions to drive supply chain performance.


· Be able to lead and manage minor projects and will be able to provide specialist input to larger business projects.


· A good general understanding of the Pharma business and environment challenges.


· Working experience with Power Apps and Power Automate.


· Experience working with analytic tools and languages, including Python, Julia, Go, or R.
