We are currently seeking a DC Buyer planner who will be responsible to optimize inventory levels, facilitate the procurement process, and ensure timely delivery of goods to the distribution center. You will be responsible for managing inventory levels, coordinating with suppliers, and collaborating with various departments within the organization to streamline operations


In this role, you will be responsible for:


Analyze demand forecasts and historical data to determine optimal inventory levels and reorder points. Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules. Work closely with demand planners and sales teams to gather accurate demand forecasts. Collaborate with various departments, such as logistics, buyer-planners, warehouse, and sales teams, to align inventory needs with operational requirements. Adjust procurement plans based on changes in demand or unforeseen events to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.


The required qualifications for the job include:


  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience of 5+ years in inventory management, procurement, or supply chain planning roles within a distribution or warehouse environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to interact with suppliers, internal teams, and stakeholders effectively.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:


  • Evaluate supplier performance to ensure quality and reliability.
  • Monitor stock levels to ensure sufficient inventory is available to meet customer demand while minimizing excess and scrap.
