DB2 Database Administrator

What you will be doing:

• Logical DBAs provide; data analysis, database modeling, implementation of database objects, logical database design and modeling, defining entities, attributes and relationships, providing requirements for physical database design, and SQL tuning.  
• Logical DBAs tend to support all aspects of non-productions subsystems. 
• provide data modeling/ logical database design and implementation (including index design) 
• provide DDL for all database objects 
• provide table and data sizing information 
• provide physical database sizing estimates 
• perform data loading 
• Provide database reorganization 
• Provide for data integrity and data recovery 
• Provide logical database design 

What you bring:

• Provide support for the definition, creation, and support of the data residing in the database management system, including the data schemas at the application level and data dictionary, which included data definitions, other metadata, and support of the data environment 
• Create and implement backup and recovery solution strategy, from customer requirements, monitoring and testing to ensure compliance with requirements 
• determine on-line data retention requirements 
• provide data archiving methodology, recommend software, and perform implementation 
• support application troubleshooting and resolution as it relates to database design 
• provide support to application developers in designing efficient access to database(s). 
• provide Client’s access requirements (for example, name and authorization level) for database objects and 
• provide physical database maintenance for development and test environments.

Qualification: BCA/BSC/BE/ME/B.Tech/M.Tech (Information Technology/ computer)
