As a Lead Database Administrator (DBA), responsible for Oracle, SQL, MY_SQL and PostgreSQL database administration, including code migration, patch analysis, and implementation of data models and designs. Ensure performance optimization, capacity management, and security of databases in a 24x7 production environment. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, support development projects, and participate in on-call rotations. Experience with automation and backup strategies is required, alongside managing complex infrastructure and ensuring compliance with change control procedures.
Provide 24x7 support for Oracle (10g, 11g, 12c, 19c, 23c) and PostgreSQL databases.
Maintain security and ensure overall reliability of database platforms.
Install, configure, upgrade, and migrate database systems.
Perform performance tuning, monitoring, and capacity planning.
Apply patches, fix bugs, and ensure compliance with change control procedures.
Manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
Clone Oracle databases for development and testing purposes.
Work with internal teams to resolve infrastructure-related issues.
Perform automation using UNIX shell scripting, Ansible, and Python.
Document processes and provide knowledge-sharing across teams.
Participate in on-call rotations and support global team operations
12+ years of Oracle Database administration experience (L3).
Min 3+ years of SQL Database Administrator experience is required.
Any cloud DBA administration experience is an added benefit.
Experience in automating DBA activities using Ansible and Python.
PostgreSQL & My-SQL Database administration experience is an advantage.
Friday and Saturday will be the week-off.
Oracle Database: Experience with Oracle 10g, 11g, 12c, 19c & 23c is required.
PostgreSQL: Experience with PostgreSQL 10, 11 is preferred.
Database Tools: Proficiency with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM 11g, 12c, 13c) is required.
Backup & Restore: Extensive experience with RMAN, Data Pump, and backup/restore processes.
High Availability & DR: Expertise in Disaster Recovery and Data Guard & Goldengate.
Performance Tuning: Advanced experience with performance optimization and tuning.
Automation: Strong skills in automation using Ansible and scripting (UNIX, Python).
Cloud & Infrastructure: Familiarity with Oracle Database administration in the cloud is a plus.
Operating Systems: Knowledge of IBM AIX, Linux, and Windows environments.
