Who we are looking for:


GBM Data Warehouse team is seeking an enthusiastic, talented and motivated candidate to join us as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer (SDET). You will be responsible for testing the software in an agile environment. We are looking for a candidate who can comprehend new technologies, come up to speed quickly and adapt to changing business requirements.


As a Software Quality Assurance Engineer you will:


  • Collaborate with product managers, analysts, developers, and other SQA members using Agile methods to identify & refine functional/regression test cases as per business requirements and solutioning approach.
  • Identify business test scenarios during iteration preplanning. Partner with analysts & PO to capture test scope -from both functional & business perspective
  • Create testing-related documentation, including test plans, test cases/scripts, and bug reports assessing quality and associated risk.
  • Create defects timely & track them using internal tools/processes like RTC & JIRA.
  • Attend daily stand ups, communicate key issues, story status & any impediments.
  • Participate in team demos & present completed stories with relevant data & test artifacts .
  • Maintain Regression testing suite as per Release requirements.
  • Prepare release tollgates for upcoming releases & request relevant stakeholder approvals.
  • Lead test automation initiatives for better regression coverage & efficient checkouts.
  • Run automated tests on a daily basis to identify any new issues.
  • Follow up regularly to ensure defects are either fixed or deferred.
  • Actively participate in Joint Integration testing (JIT), end to end testing & defect fixes by collaborating with upstream and downstream teams.
  • Support BUAT testing & any cross functional bug triage.
  • Analyze business user’s feedback on developed modules & discuss potential action items with analysts & PO.
  • Propose & highlight any improvement areas during team retrospective meeting.

These skills will help you succeed in this role (MUST):


  • 8-10 years of professional software testing experience including test planning, test case design, test automation and test methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in SQL Database testing & Java.
  • Experience of Data Modelling
  • Experience of Data warehousing principles (OLAP vs OLTP).
  • Experience of Junit Testing, TestNG framework.
  • Strong hands on experience with SQL queries / Joins / Views etc.

Education & Preferred Qualifications:


  • S3 Data Lake and Presto
  • GitHub or any equivalent version control.
  • Knowledge of any SWIFT, Payment & Cash systems would be a plus.
