Our client is a fast-growing, agile international consulting firm headquartered in the United Kingdom. They've been focusing on optimizing processes, centricity and technology. One of the many areas they are focusing on is to design and implement next generation activities- reformulating operating models, optimizing processes and installing automation.


 

In this role, you will collaborate with diverse cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement predictive models and data-driven strategies. Your work will play a crucial role in optimizing processes, enhancing decision-making, and delivering tangible business value.


 

Your Tasks will include:
 


  • Extract, clean, and preprocess large datasets from various sources like databases, APIs, and external platforms.
  • Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends, insights, and relationships within data.
  • Develop, train, and validate machine learning models for both predictive and prescriptive analytics.
  • Utilize advanced statistical and machine learning techniques, including regression, classification, clustering, and time series analysis.
  • Enhance model performance, scalability, and accuracy with hyperparameter tuning, feature engineering, and ensemble methods.
  • Deploy models in production while ensuring their accuracy and performance through continuous monitoring and enhancement.
  • Employ A/B testing, experimentation, and model interpretability methods to evaluate model impact.
  • Create automated pipelines for data extraction, preprocessing, and modeling.
  • Contribute to enhancing data infrastructure and developing scalable machine learning pipelines.


To be a good fit for the Data Scientist role, you will have:


 
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in Data science or a related field.
  • Experience in analyzing large and complex datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and insights
  • Experience in developing and implementing predictive models and algorithms
  • Strong analytical thinking with the ability to approach problems creatively and pragmatically.
  • Experience with ensuring data science projects align with technical standards and business objectives.
  • Advanced coding skills in Python or R, with experience using libraries such as pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and similar tools.
  • Proficient with SQL and NoSQL databases for effective data retrieval, manipulation, and storage.
  • Practical experience with both supervised and unsupervised machine learning algorithms and statistical modeling techniques.
  • Skilled in using tools like Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly, as well as BI platforms such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Familiarity with cloud services like AWS, GCP, Azure, and distributed computing systems such as Hadoop and Spark is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to tackle challenges creatively and pragmatically.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science,Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
