What you can expect
We are looking for a Data Scientist who will lead the project and mentor the team. This person will focus on extracting insights and developing machine-learning models around user behavior to drive sales and improve customer retention. The ideal candidate will have experience building ML models from development to production, addressing key business challenges like churn, cross-sell, and upsell. The individual will provide insights not only on "what" but also on "why," and work with sales and customer success teams to create actionable plans.
About the Team
The Data Team drives data-informed decision-making at Zoom, supporting product development with behavioral insights and helping go-to-market teams with risk and buying propensity scores. We aim to deliver better products and sales outcomes while ensuring compliance with privacy and regulatory requirements for millions of users globally.
What we’re looking for
Have a Degree in a quantitative field such as analytics, statistics, mathematics, or computer science
10+ years of professional experience in a data-driven, analytical and ML role
Drive projects or programs that have had a significant impact on business strategy and performance
Show expertise in SQL and another data manipulation programming language (e.g., Python, R).
Show proficiency in ML modeling from development to production and knowledge of MLOps to partner with platform team for deployment
Experience leading and mentoring teams, with a focus on achieving strategic objectives
Demonstrate effective communication skills, with the ability to deliver complicated findings and explain technical approaches to a variety of audiences
