Data science manager: Lead projects from a data science perspective, removing obstacles and taking ownership to find creative solutions. Lead and inspire a team while actively contributing to projects. Stay aware and apply pioneering techniques, tools and technology.

ROLE SUMMARY:

• Manage senior data scientist team: Leads and inspires a team, provides feedback and suggested improvements to team members.
• Hands on leadership of data science projects, removing obstacles and taking ownership to find creative solutions. Builds data science products and solutions applying data science techniques directly.
• Manages senior level stakeholder engagements internally and externally to discover problems and use cases, as well as to translate business impact of on-going and completed projects.
• Creates compelling proposals with technologists and business to drive innovation from conception to production with appropriate success metrics.
• Use deep domain expertise in financial market content, data science and LSEG data and products.
• Networks with various stakeholders and communities, staying aware of leading-edge techniques, tools and technology.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

• Experience managing a team of senior, full stack data scientists.
• Problem solving skills: define a problem, generate solutions, and evaluate and identify the best solution to overcome the problem. Deep algorithmic understands of the Data Science field. Ability to research and create new ideas, methods, products or solutions. Natural Language Processing (NLP) applied experience – an advantage.
• Hands on programming and data analysis ability, to guide and develop team.
• Ability to communicates with clarity and precision, presenting complex / technical information in a concise format that is audience appropriate.
• Ability to translate business, customers and end-users requirements to this into technical specifications, solutions and products, and metrics.
• Partner management skills: Builds trusting relationships with internal and external collaborators to understand their drivers and negotiate positive outcomes.
