We are looking for a Data Product Engineer (f/m/d) to design, develop and manage data products on SAP’s Data Platform using SAP Data Sphere for data modelling. This role focuses on Master Data related Data Product for Business Partner including contacts and Material Master.  


As part of our data democratization journey, SAP is launching new data products to empower employees with easy access to and a deeper understanding of data. You will collaborate across teams and organizational boundaries, gathering requirements, breaking them down, and implementing innovative solutions as part of an agile, stable team dedicated to building analytical consumption scenarios. 


A day in your role may look like this:  


  • Define, develop, deliver, and support analytic solutions based on business requirements, priorities, and performance constraints.  
  • Apply best practices for architecture, development, and design of analytical data models using SAP Datasphere, SAP HANA, and HANA Cloud. 
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business challenges, evaluate requirements, and create impactful analytical solutions. 
  • Strengthen the team with your problem-solving, technical expertise, and collaboration skills. 
  • Identify, challenge, and resolve existing reporting issues through innovative ideas that add business value.  
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm for continuous improvement in processes and solutions. 

What you bring: 


You will be expected to solve technical challenges & innovate in a highly complex enterprise environment. To do so, you will be expected to possess a certain skillset, including: 


Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, business information technologies, or related fields. 


  • 5+ years of work experience in analytic-focused consulting, HR, finance, or development roles.   
  • Experience in defining the data models and analytical data sets using SAP HANA, HANA Cloud, or equivalent SQL database modelling.  
  • Proficient in SQL development, Stored Procedures, Functions and Data Modeling.  
  • First experiences with SAP Datasphere, SAP Data Intelligence, SAP BW, and SAP SAC are beneficial. 
  • SAP Platform knowledge of S4HANA, CRM, MDG or programming knowledge of Python coding skills is a plus. 
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability for abstract thinking.  
  • Proven teamwork and communication skills in collaborative environments. 
  • Experience in Agile development, Scrum, and SAFe.
