Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Migration Expert to oversee data migration processes for the Tranzaxis (Compass Plus) platform. The ideal candidate will ensure a smooth transition from existing systems to the new platform while maintaining data integrity and compliance with card scheme regulations. This role is crucial for minimizing disruptions to client services during migration.


Scope:

As a Migration Expert, you will be responsible for planning and executing data migration strategies, ensuring that all data is accurately extracted, transformed, and loaded into the new platform. You will work closely with clients' legacy systems and ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and security standards during the migration process.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and Execute Data Migration Strategies:Develop and implement comprehensive data migration strategies, including data mapping and transformation to ensure smooth transitions.


  • Data Extraction and Loading:Collaborate with client legacy systems to extract, clean, and load data into the Tranzaxis platform effectively.


  • Regulatory Compliance:Ensure the migration process adheres to all relevant regulatory and security standards, such as PCI DSS, safeguarding sensitive payment information throughout the process.


  • Post-Migration Audits:Conduct thorough post-migration audits to validate data integrity and assess system performance, ensuring that the new platform operates as intended.


Technical Skills:

Data Migration Expertise:


  • Strong understanding of data migration processes and methodologies.
  • Experience with data mapping, transformation, and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.

Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with regulatory standards, particularlyPCI DSSand other industry security requirements impacting payment systems.


Database and Data Management: Proficient in working with databases (SQL/NoSQL), and data integration tools relevant to migration tasks.


Analytical Skills: Experience in conducting audits and utilizing analytical tools to ensure data accuracy and integrity post-migration.


Experience:
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in data migration or related fields, preferably within the payments or financial services industry.
  • Proven experience working with legacy systems and implementing data migrations that comply with regulatory standards.
Day-to-Day Activities:
  • Develop detailed migration plans and collaborate with clients to understand their legacy systems.
  • Execute data extraction and transformation tasks while ensuring minimal disruption to client services.
  • Monitor the migration process and troubleshoot any issues that may arise promptly.
  • Generate reports and documentation for post-migration reviews and audits, promptly addressing any discrepancies found during audits.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree inComputer Science,Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications in data migration, database management, or compliance standards are a plus.
Soft Skills:
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with clients and technical teams.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail, ensuring data accuracy and compliance throughout the migration process.
