Gracenote is the top provider of entertainment information, creating industry-leading databases of TV, movie, and music metadata for entertainment guides, applications and in car entertainment. We are the leading supplier of TV and Movie entertainment data. We supply data to leading entertainment platforms and devices.
ROLE
The Data Mapping Editor position performs metadata editing functions related to the ongoing development and creation of media databases and content. This person will be responsible for performing high-volume, complex manipulations on the entertainment information that forms the core of Gracenote’s media database, with special focus channel ownership and content creation.

RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Analyze and process VOD and SVC program information sent by clients, assess database information and map ID’s in a timely manner.
  • Import metadata provided for movies, shows and episodes to create program records that do not exist in the database.
  • Investigate, confirm and document questionable program content by consulting program information providers and others.
  • Consolidate data content and new program information in databases.
  • Research content as required and consult Editorial/Metadata teams to meet immediate production needs.
  • Ensure the accuracy of editorial listings, authenticity of program information and timely delivery to in- house personnel.
  • Consistently meet turn-around time agreements, and provide timely updating and mapping of assets outside of regular business hours as needed.
  • Run quality check reports over databases as required. Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS


  • Any Graduate.
  • Excellent written and verbal English skills.
  • Strong organizational, grammatical, analytical, spelling, writing and communication skills.
  • Good internet research abilities.
  • Working knowledge of content standards and procedures or the ability to learn it.
  • Must demonstrate a strong attention to detail, a high level of quality, solid problem-solving skills and time management skills.
  • Able to work in a self-directed and fast-paced environment.
  • Ready to work in a 24/7 operation, including evening, night and weekend shifts.
  • Excellent keyboarding skills are expected.
  • Knowledge of international TV shows, and the media sector in general, is a plus.
