Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and growing team in a fast paced and challenging area? This is a unique opportunity for you to work in the Data Management team to partner with the Business.


As a Vice President in Data Management - Project Management within the Corporate Investment Banking (CIB) Markets Operations team, you will collaborate with stakeholders to provide data remediation and solutions. Your main role will involve project and stakeholder management, utilizing Intelligent Automation tools such as Alteryx, UiPath, Tableau, and Python to offer a wide range of data solutions. This position provides the chance to work with a team of global stakeholders, manage and execute intricate data-related projects, and develop and automate manual tasks. Your proficiency in project management within the financial services sector, digital tools, Python, Pandas, APIs, SQL, and understanding of the trades transaction lifecycle will be vital for your success in this role.


Job Responsibilities:


  • Handle project responsibilities such as intake, capturing project requirements, relevant OKRs, ROI calculation, stakeholder management, and reporting.
  • Manage and execute complex data-related projects, ensuring that project deliverables are met with due diligence and system integration related to Markets Operations.
  • Collaborate with a team of global stakeholders across various groups, including regulatory, middle and back office, product development, technology, and finance.
  • Identify and source data from multiple repositories, investigate and analyze datasets, and perform complex comparisons.
  • Derive insights from data and assess its business impact, identifying links between different systems and processes.
  • Read and understand procedure documents, strictly adhering to procedures when handling data-related requests.
  • Monitor, track, and report project milestones and timelines to senior management.
  • Develop and automate manual tasks through ETL pipelines using Alteryx and other Intelligent Automation tools.
  • Conduct POCs and manage ad-hoc requests to support firm-wide strategic initiatives/programs and system migrations like AMS, PRADA, T+1, etc.
  • Analyze and break down complex business and operational objectives into manageable tasks and activities, applying critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Learn new business functions, systems, and data sources to support work in different projects and represent the team in key senior Project Delivery meetings.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:


  • Must have 7+ years of work experience with minimum 2 years in project management within the financial services domain
  • Should be willing and eager to share knowledge with team members
  • Good knowledge of Python, Pandas, APIs and SQL
  • Proven record of stakeholder management and involvement in change program initiatives
  • Strong understanding of the trades transaction lifecycle, cash management, corporate actions, reference data, SSIs and financial products like equities, fixed income & derivative products
  • Understands the systems landscape that supports the Business services, and the main features and functionality of each key application in use
  • Advanced level in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of Jira and Project management lifecycle

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:


  • Experience with digital tools/capabilities such as Advance Alteryx, UiPath and Advance Tableau strongly preferred.
