The newly founded and multi-skilled Data & Analytics team aims to deliver data across CHC globally. Located in five countries, the team is composed of several entities: Data Governance, Advanced Analytics, Data Modelling & Architecture, and Program & Operations. The Digital Science Operations, Insights & Data Products Expert will work within the Data Programs and Operations organization, implementing the strategic roadmap and executing Data & Analytics initiatives for Science functions. The role reports to the Science Data Platform Lead.

Science Data Products, Platform, and insights (Analytics, Visualization):

Capturing Science need & business value

• Actively partner with Global Science stakeholders to understand their data needs and challenges and, in line with CHC Data & Analytics central standards, help them find solutions forward to drive improvement.

• Conduct customer research and business value assessment. Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and deliver AI and Science data products aligned with business objectives.

• Implement product discovery approach that translates ideas into a prioritized backlog of advanced analytics data product use cases to maximize business outcomes and enhance existing capabilities.

• Participate in detailed assessment during acquisition of additional databases. Ensure databases can be integrated into the Science Data Platform (SciLake).

Development of data products

• Lead the development and upkeep of advanced AI/ML and analytics data products to advance Science objectives. Leading and guiding on-shore and off-shore engineers and data analysts to deliver solutions aligned with the Data product roadmap. Ensure delivery in time, cost, and quality.

• Ensure data products are compatible with the science data platform (SciLake). Ensure data sources are consolidated into SciLake with appropriate data governance, architecture, and analytics.

• Help establish AI/ML/Analytics strategies for the business area, in collaboration with specialized teams of data scientists (internal and external).

• Manage the entire lifecycle of AI and Science products, from concept to retirement, as a key decision-maker focused on delivering value to the business and its customers.

Governance & Operational excellence

• Lead the adoption of new tools and techniques for information storage, access, and analysis, incorporating cutting-edge approaches for SciLake, the Digital Health & Science platform, leveraging warehousing technology (Snowflake) and Amazon Web Services tech stack.

• Offer strategic guidance for evaluating and implementing information management, resource management, and analytics standards for excellence.

• Ensuring alignment of the product strategy with Digital Architecture guidelines, Data strategy, and data governance.

• Oversee the execution and maintenance reporting for data product portfolios and ensure reporting KPIs are fit for purpose and accessible in time for leadership decision-making (business value, resources, etc.)

• Enhance the global Advanced Science capability to support project teams for strategic and tactical investment decisions, including digital analytics, and product ROI evaluation.

About you 

Experience

• Proven (8+ years) experience in data analytics, digital strategy, and leading cross-functional teams (business, data, ML, etc.).
• Experience in a consultancy is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of consumer healthcare products, R&D processes, and regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of data analytics tools, statistical software, and data visualization tools (Snowflake, AWS tech stack)
• Exceptional problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing environments and navigate complex challenges.
• A commitment to maintaining the highest ethical and quality standards in research and development.
• Strong understanding of healthcare data & technology; cross-industry experience in pharmaceutical, consumer, or technology industry preferred.
• Strong background in quantitative/analytical skills: exploratory data analyses, computer science, statistics, modeling, mathematics, programming languages

Education: Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related).
