As a Data Management Controller- Associate in our Finance team, you will spend each day defining, refining and delivering set goals for our firm.
Job Responsibilities
- Define a reduced threshold by looking at the average contract or instrument level median. Once thresholds are determined team should perform day over day volatility check with reduced threshold on T&P data, investigate the movement to determine business rationale behind the movements. Aim to solve for the Data quality issues identified through the process should be remediated before ME close.
- Draw lineage of validation rule to exceptions generated to adjustments performed to DQMs logged for the same
- Define elimination path for validation suppressions
- Attest accuracy of validation logic & suggest potential for smartening the rule that helps remove false exceptions & capture all genuine outliers for a given attribute. Leverage valid value list from DRD/Program office & study data profiles sent by risk management system.
- Partner with Consumers & DMC production team to prioritize DQ issues; work in collaboration with CDO, LOB, FRW/Everest platform, RDR and consumers to remediate DQMs
- Establish Consumer feedback loop with DMC-Develop a model of interaction with consumer to take into account the authoritative issues and adjustments captured/performed at consumer layer, assess authoritativeness & establish sufficiency or deficiency of existing controls. Any deficiency handed over to innovation wing of the team for control enhancement
- Establish LOB Feedback with DMC
- Must have good written and spoken communication in order to approach various Risk reporting teams, Operations, technology and Operate teams and to maintain a level of client partnership
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Post graduate/MBA with minimum 5 years financial service Industry experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving skills, negotiation and analytical skills
- Excellent desktop/spreadsheet skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and balance multiple priorities
- Basic understanding of the firm’s products
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Basic experience with a financial consolidation and reporting system
- In-depth knowledge of industry standards and regulations
- Expertise in AI/ML skills ( Alteryx, Python, Tableau, Databricks etc) preferred
